Konami totally had the most amazing press conference ever.
That Ninety-Nine Nights II guy is my new hero.

How was Zelda fail? At least they were doing a live demo which is more than SOME can say, and it only lasted for a few moments unlike the Konami conference that just kept going and going and going.

Not to mention that only the stage demo was affected by technical difficulties. The show floor version worked flawlessly.
That Konami conference was just so brilliant and painful to watch at the same time. It was EXTREEEEEEEME.

Yeah that too. It was hilariously bad.

Exactly, just a simply hiccup during a live demo with ALOT of wireless devices running at once. If all the demos had issues then yes I'd say Zelda failed, but that was anything but a fail. Beyond that one thing giving Miyamoto some trouble the rest of the demo went well and looked to be very impressive.[QUOTE="Easyle"]

Well its cause it was painful seeing miyamoto up there playing a uber botched demo. Yea the game worked well at the floor, but we are talking about the conference presitation and it was just awful to watch that part. I actually muted and looked away. I felt bad for the guy.

How is that an uber botched demo? It was one part for like a minute or so out of the 10 to 15 minute demo. It was out of Miyamoto's control and it wasn't due to poor developing of the demo, it was simply due to the amount of wireless devices running in there and it was messing with that input from the Wiimote. Nothing more. Uber botched "presentation" would be if the whole demo crashed and nothing overly worked. If he struggled from start to finish, then yes fail. But one part like that, after he already show cased using the bow and stuff like that, that isn't a fail.[QUOTE="Easyle"]

I love Zelda more than any game, movie, song, book, or... anything pretty much. Seriously it's one of my favorite things in the world, but I can safely say the demo was a failure. Not their fault, the wireless devices interfered with the signal, which made the controls appear disastrous. Thank God the floor demo seemed to work perfectly, now I can go back to anticipating the next best game ever *twiddles thumbs patiently*.most embarrasing moment? kinnect and sony's psp plan "we're going to do a new marketing plan for it and here it is" MARCUS PSP CUZ PLAYING THE PSP IS GANGSTA Y9OFireEmblem74STEP YO GAME UP. Such a bad idea, not only is it stereotyping young African-American kids and perhaps influencing all children badly (TO ACT G YO), it's simply horribly annoying on television now. Before someone asks, no I'm not black, so that's not why it pisses me off :P. I had to laugh when Sony mentioned how the PSP has the best handheld library this generation. Cut the DS' quality titles in half and it would still beat the PSP.

Oh please. I love Zelda as much as the next guy but frankly it was embarrassing seeing Miyamoto become frustrated with his own game on stage. That's not to say the game will have bad controls. We know it won't.
Anyways, Microsoft and Konami definitely had the most embarrassing moments but Konami easily takes the take. I got to give them credit though for not running off the stage in tears.

Embarrassing yes, but a failure? No. That is my point, not that it wasn't embarrassing but that just for that one thing doesn't make the presentation for the game a failure.TrueThe Konami conference was a comedy goldmine. You can't deny it was way more enjoyable to watch than any of the real conferences.
stepat201
well, why do they let Japanese guys embarrass themselves when they can't speak English. problem is they think they can speak English & they think they sound SO COOL.
somebody be honest with them : "maybe you're good programmer or whatever but NO, you shouldn't speak in public"
also, I thought gamers were merciless bastards. first time I saw that skittles kinect girl I was like OH, GOD it's over for the poor little girl. strangely I don't see lotta bashing for her.
anyways she really annoyed me in so many levels.
wii mote uses bluetooth and ir. Nothing in the 2.4ghz spectrum should cause interference Foliage-Kingyes, but halogen lights DO cause interference.. the same halogen lights present on the stage during the conference... and also, the controls worked perfectly for the people trying it out after the conference

When they are showcasing the wii's controls in the new Zelda, and it doesn't work, that's a HUGE fail. Even the creator got pissed. Yes, wireless probably caused it, but why didn't Nintendo do anything to prevent something that was probably very preventable? It blows my mind sometimes. Stupid stupid stupid... *starts rambling*[QUOTE="finalfantasy94"][QUOTE="kejigoto"]

Then why did they have Halogen lights? Couldn't they get some other form of light?
