How was Zelda fail? At least they were doing a live demo which is more than SOME can say, and it only lasted for a few moments unlike the Konami conference that just kept going and going and going.

Oh please. I love Zelda as much as the next guy but frankly it was embarrassing seeing Miyamoto become frustrated with his own game on stage. That's not to say the game will have bad controls. We know it won't.
Anyways, Microsoft and Konami definitely had the most embarrassing moments but Konami easily takes the take. I got to give them credit though for not running off the stage in tears.
Embarrassing yes, but a failure? No. That is my point, not that it wasn't embarrassing but that just for that one thing doesn't make the presentation for the game a failure.
When they are showcasing the wii's controls in the new Zelda, and it doesn't work, that's a HUGE fail.
Even the creator got pissed.
Yes, wireless probably caused it, but why didn't Nintendo do anything to prevent something that was probably very preventable?

That was the first time Nintendo had issues like that on stage... So how exactly could they foresee something that has never occurred before?
If you had never had issues with wireless or lighting before why would you suddenly think it would give you issues? Also you completely forget the game runs flawlessly on the showroom floor and everyone who has demoed it said there was no issues at all. You can't see every little problem that creeps up long before they happen and I'm fairly sure next time Nintendo does something like this they'll change up how they do things (like use different lighting) to avoid these issues.
Also it was the one part that had issues, not the entire demo. Again if it was the entire demo or a good sized chunk of it, yes it would be fail. This was merely an unforeseen issue that affected only a small portion of the demo.
It blows my mind that people can be as closed minded as yourself or look down on companies like this when you yourself have probably never done anything even close to the scale that they are or know even a fraction of what they know about these sort of things.
Halogen lights are also the standard for lighting when it comes to venues like this. They offer alot of light from a small bulb that gives off warmer colors than non halogen lighting which is alot more inviting for the eyes. Also halogen lights are alot more effecient than your standard light bulb.
Knowledge is power my friend, try educating yourself abit next time.
