Sadness.
Lost Odyssey:The funeral, and every dream.
ME1: The "I remember me "mission with the background of a colonist.
MGS3: The ending.....
Horror:
ME2: Doing the renegade course of Zaeed's loyalty quest. The haunting sound of people being burned alive and then suddenly hearing it stop.
DA1: Hearing the brood queen ryme the first time.
DA2: It have one statement that can describe this feeling from the ending of this game. It's is mixer with disappointment, saddens, anger, and dread....
...... God damn it , Anders......Why!!!?????
Fallout 3:The ending of the Pit. Knowing that I had to damn a group of people to save them....
Fear:
Dead Space.....I could not walk out at night easily when I was playing this game.
Rage:
ME1:Bring down the sky mission......Let just say that I have a character that really hates bartarian terrorist.
Wonder:
Bioshock: the exploding piano scene......Wow!
Bioshock:the preformance of the Voice acter of Sander Coen and Andrew Ryan.
Old Snake vs Liquid Ocelot was quite an experience, definitely emotional as far as Im concerned. The music, the whole fight scene and the talk between the two. I have to admit, I did shed a tear...
Shadow of the Colossus...the cutscene before the final boss. :(mrmusicman247
Right there with you buddy, that scene got to me a lot. Now I feel sad...
The part in Shenmue 2 when you find out where the name Shenmue comes from; it os absolutely most beautiful moment in a video game I've ever seen.
Final Fantasy X, MGS3 and SotC all left a slight emotional impact on me. The games stayed on my mind for weeks after completion.

Good call on FFX.
I'm racking my brain because I know there have been moments in gaming that really did get to me but over the recent years I've become so god awful jaded towards my favorite hobby my emotions have become a dull monotone.
I recall Shenmue getting to me a time or two, but that was a decade ago I played the game. Hard to recall.
Gears 2 Spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should probably tell everyone what the spoiler refers to. Otherwise everyone is going to click it out of extreme curiosity or avoid it all together. I had my fingers crossed hoping that you didn't find LA Noire too emotional. :P
You know it's too bad they really had a chance to do something off the wall to make that a much more emotional experience. They totally coped-out at the end though when happy days started shining again! If that was me in Sazh's shoes Vanille wouldn't be prancing around for long. More games and RPG's need to once in a while make the game say "Man you thought being on the run sucked? Well someone just got dead!"as bad as the game was FF13 with sazh and vanille

Especially if it was Hope instead of Sahz. I liked Sahz. lolas bad as the game was FF13 with sazh and vanille

Knights of the Old Republic had a lot of good ones.
Knights of the Old Republic II also. There were some great characters such as Kreia, Sion, Atton, Hanharr and of course, the Disciple.
Dragon Age: Origins had those too. When nearing the final battle especially so.
And there's also Mass Effect...

Would have been epicly ironic considering he got Alexander as a summon.as bad as the game was FF13 with sazh and vanille

DA2 is even stronger than DAO when it comes to emotional storytelling...lets see Leandra Hawke and Merill.Knights of the Old Republic had a lot of good ones.

There were some emotional scenes in Nier, particularly those involving a certain character that isn't part of your party towards the end of the game, especially in the second playthrough.
I think you like Bioware :PKnights of the Old Republic had a lot of good ones.

Good call. OP edited

DA2 is even stronger than DAO when it comes to emotional storytelling...lets see Leandra Hawke and Merill. No it isn't. Not even close. Except for Leliana Song and Nature of the Beast, there is no well done emotion in DAO....the orphange quest fell flat at the end as well. DA2 had
death of Hawke's mom and siblings, Merills entire story thread, and the murder of the Viscount's son
. Then there is Bethany's VA performance at the end...wow. DA2 is a stronger story regradless....DAO is just LOTR with gore, nothing more everything less.Knights of the Old Republic had a lot of good ones.

Final Fantasy 3 (VI) Opera scene.....first and most emotional scene to affect me.
My 2nd would be legend of legaia the day after scene in rim elm...just amazing they did far more from an emotional standpoint with their textures and characters then we ever saw in FF7 (i'm comparing cause people are all ff7 was so emotional yet Cloud doesn't cry once via textures or CGI)
Im going to be 40 soon..been gaming my whole life. I have played more games then you can imagine...I have YET to get emotional over a game. Unless by emotional you mean , mad, throw things and break stuff? That I have done... I dont pay attention to the story at all if thats what you mean.
Nier had several very emotional moments for me.
The only game I can think of that emotionally impacted me before is FFX
