So I just beat Gears:J campaign with 2 other friends on Hardcore. We did almost all "level mutators" and I enjoyed it.Had quite some fun with the co op gameplay and all, some level mutators were quite challenging on hardcore and we had to try them over and over again but there is just something that bugs me... So we beat the game I one stting. Took us about 8 hours. We were done with it about 2 hours before I made this thread and guess what? I can't rememeber jack sh*t. Its just room after room with differen enemies, some generic environments some generic cutscenes with some guy with a p*rn stache. It all blends in. Challenge room after change room , everything generic and forgettable. Its quite unbelievable really. I've never play a more forgettable campaign EVER.Literary 2 hours after I beat the game NOTHING stand s out for me and I can't remeber sh*t. I'm 100% serious not exaggerating at all... it is indeed the least memorable camping I played ever. Not the worst mind you, as I said before I enjoyed the gameplay a lot but thats all it is. Gameplay... Its quite amazing, I've never seen anything quite like it. So before someone says "Nice blog bro". Has anyone played a more forgettable SP ? Not possible if you have finished Grow:J but for the sake of argument...

I'm most of the way through the game and I'm really enjoying it. The twist on the narrative, including the Declassified segements (or as you referred to them as "level mutators") which I found challenging and fresh and were even directly relating to twisting the plot. I like the campaign. Nothing forgotten here. maybe you're memory is going?

Anyway, I like the CoD games as well but I would say that MW3's campaign was pretty uninteresting...actually most are haha.

Killzone. Not bad, it just lacks memorable moments. Plus the AI is just awful.

I can agree with ODST. It's an abortion of a game.

Can't thinik of anything aside from most of the modern Call of Dutys which send you all over the world with little to no idea why you're there aside from "bad guys planning bad things need to be stopped". Little to no change in pacing certainly didn't help.

Storywise? Third Uncharted would be there if I couldn't remember all the awful plot points they brought up for absolutely no reason whatsoever

I can't think of any. I usually do some research first before I buy the game. I can remember vividly the SP campaigns of most games I buy.

What narrative.... there is no narrative. Please humor be, name the most memorable moments for you. Things like ( gears 1/2/3 spoilers) Doms wife , dom dying, the sinking the city, raam, the main badass b*tch from gears 3 for example ect ect. I remeber those things and I'm not really even  a fan of gears. I played those games like once quite a while ago.

Also the mutators are anything but memorable. We did all but 2 (one we forgot to activate in the beging of the game and the second to last which was just ridiculous and after like 7-8 trys we didn't want to bother. They just repeat over and over again in different challage rooms... I mean levels.

Hmm this is actually tougher than I thought it would be. Maybe Battlefield 3? Literally the only character I remember in that game is Sergeant Blackburn (the main dude).

Battlefield 3 campaign, that has to be one of the most generic and forgettable story i ever played. Co-op campaign was better.

I haven't played the game but that's kind of how I felt about Bulletstorm and Painkiller. These games were old style FPS when the genre was all about absorbing and consistent gameplay rather than memorable moments or wow moments as I like to call them. In terms of replay value this is usually a good thing though as wow moments lose impact after the first play through especially if they are very scripted.

It'd be a pretty long list, so I won't bother. There's a good number of games around that are a blast to play, but once you're done, you quickly forget all about them.

Homefront was awful, I only remember it because I beat it in one afternoon, one of the shortest SP games I've played. Other than that I can't remember a single thing about it.

I remember BF3 because it had one fun mission towards the end where every enemy seemed to drop shotguns and M60's so I just ran around around like Rambo. Ironically it's one of the smallest most visually unimpressive levels and the scale and visuals were all most of the other levels had going for them.

Battlefield 3. As if installing f*cking Origin and downloading a 3gig (or however big it was) patch wasn't infuriating enough, wanting to play some BF single player only to find I wasn't in control half the time was almost too much for me to handle without punching my screen.

Frontlines:Fuel of War. I can remember driving around in a humvee and some oil-piplines...that's about it.
