I'm most of the way through the game and I'm really enjoying it. The twist on the narrative, including the Declassified segements (or as you referred to them as "level mutators") which I found challenging and fresh and were even directly relating to twisting the plot. I like the campaign. Nothing forgotten here. maybe you're memory is going?
Anyway, I like the CoD games as well but I would say that MW3's campaign was pretty uninteresting...actually most are haha.
Can't thinik of anything aside from most of the modern Call of Dutys which send you all over the world with little to no idea why you're there aside from "bad guys planning bad things need to be stopped". Little to no change in pacing certainly didn't help.
I can't think of any. I usually do some research first before I buy the game. I can remember vividly the SP campaigns of most games I buy.

What narrative.... there is no narrative. Please humor be, name the most memorable moments for you. Things like ( gears 1/2/3 spoilers) Doms wife , dom dying, the sinking the city, raam, the main badass b*tch from gears 3 for example ect ect. I remeber those things and I'm not really even a fan of gears. I played those games like once quite a while ago.

Also the mutators are anything but memorable. We did all but 2 (one we forgot to activate in the beging of the game and the second to last which was just ridiculous and after like 7-8 trys we didn't want to bother. They just repeat over and over again in different challage rooms... I mean levels.
Battlefield 3 campaign, that has to be one of the most generic and forgettable story i ever played. Co-op campaign was better.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 I couldn't get passed the first two missions without being bored out my mind
BF3. Rancid, boring, linear drek. Floppy_JimI remember BF3 because it had one fun mission towards the end where every enemy seemed to drop shotguns and M60's so I just ran around around like Rambo. Ironically it's one of the smallest most visually unimpressive levels and the scale and visuals were all most of the other levels had going for them.
All games.. i tend to forget what happens in a game when i play a new one lol

Well that explains a lot about your hard on for CoD.
Battlefield 3. As if installing f*cking Origin and downloading a 3gig (or however big it was) patch wasn't infuriating enough, wanting to play some BF single player only to find I wasn't in control half the time was almost too much for me to handle without punching my screen.
