I'd have to go with the man who created the medium since without him any of those otherpeople up there wouldn't have been able to be influential.

But one could argue that more than one person was creating the first game at the same time. So was it bound to happen? It's usually the first that creates it, and the second that pulls it off. Neighter one is wrong.

Tough to say....

Carmack is pretty far up there but I'm not sure if he is as high as Miyamoto or those others...

If it wasn't for Nolan Buschnell and those other guys, Miyamato would never have been a game developer...

Will Wright, Alexey Pajitnov, Miyamoto, Kojima, John Carmack. The big 5 in my opinion.

Do you really need to ask? Miyamoto has probably one of the most inventive minds in the world of video games... no... in the world altogether.

I picked Miyamoto.

But I disagree with the words "flawless imagination"

How can imagination be flawless? lol

Lol, I don't know about that. I do love Miyamoto though. But I have to pay my respects to Ralph Baer, without his invention my life wouldn't be much today, even my job is centered around what he created. I LOVE THIS MAN, no homo.

If it wasn't for Nolan Buschnell and those other guys, Miyamato would never have been a game developer...

someone would've eventually started the business.

It was natural order. It was new industry with potential of loads of money. If it wans't Nolan Buschnell, some other guy would've done it.

Originally that would be Ralph Baer. His invention was quickly replicated in a coin-op machine by Nolan Bushnell. There was a dispute over it, but Nolan using his business skills weasled his way out of it.
