The most "Mature" game ever?

Unless you have an economics degree and are fairly educated and intelligent you won't be getting far with this:

Not even close. No offense but Silent Hill 2 was one of the most brutal games I have ever played and many of it's deranged elements blended together in a disgusting and offensive way. What was more is that the game had an amazing story and a disgusting and hoorifying way of telling it.....seeing Maria geting speared on that upside down crucifix thing still haunts me lolSiiSsy

The subject matter is just, if not moreso, "mature."

If you're commenting on visuals and and blending mechanics, then that's different.

agree with TC, Killer 7. That game is really not meant too be played by kids.. Got everything that could be classified as mature.. Even a storyline that no 12-ear old would even be close too understand.. Also,I would say Myst is a very mature game.. Not many below 20 that would actully bother with that game for more then 20 minutes..

And too all.. A violence doesn't equal maturity.. Ffs... anyone stating GTA or postal are mature games is most likely a retard those games are as far from mature as possible, shooting thing for fun is not mature.. lol...

There was a man in a weiner costume named crotchy who is the mascot for a children's amusement park, and the point of the game is to either wait in line for fifteen minutes to cash a check (or other tedious things) or go postal and kill everyone, by decapitation or any other gruesome means.

Yes, the story was excellent. A real mind-twister. But without cohesive and good gameplay, there is no motivation to actually carry on playing the game.

Unless it's ten bucks or less, don't get it.

I almost bought it on PS2 a few times (cheap) but didnt because its a 'rail shooter'. Might pickup the cube version cheap if I can find it

Mine? Is going to be damn near impossible to top.

Killer7 is filled to the brim with things that even a lot of adults can't come to terms with. Killer 7 deals with the darkest sides of politics and the human psyche. Also, it has plenty of other very mature topics as well, such as child smuggling and sex. The game itself has a great deal of blood, gore, sex, and profanity. Also, this game is so scary that it makes resident evil 4 look like daily news. Still scary, but ignorable, unlike killer7, which will never allow you to fully get the imagery out of your head.

I think some people are getting 'mature' and 'immature' mixed up.

Games with maximal levels of violence, sex and swearing are more likely to be immature than mature.

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, for being both intelligent and having mature theme. Most of the songs in the soundtrack where written by bands that I listen to.

For those who care, the music in Asylum is Isolated by Chiasm.

The 'Postal' games are the anti-thesis of mature, they are the most pathetic, childish and inane creations around. If you find them amusing then you are probably the sort to find 'Shoot Osama' flash games funny, no doubt whilst watching cartoon porn in another window.

For me, I agree with the TC that Killer7 is truly mature in both content, delivery and subject matter. I also find Eternal Darkness: Danity's Requiem to be one of the most mature games around, aside from the grisly combat and themes the game also has some of the most accomplished scripting and narration to be seen in a game. I have been playing Hotel Dusk: Room 215 on DS, that is also an intelligent and truly mature titles.

Those who think 'maturity' in a game equates to gratuitous violence are sorely mistaken.

Great story... games can't get any more sirious then this. This game > GTA

IMO, some random Japanese dating sim games, if players actually read the story, have pretty mature themes.

Memories off 3 - you that become a memory, ever 17, would be fine examples.

The FF games can be like that also. Some of the story go a little off track and you have to pay close attention to what going on to understand everything.
