[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]

[QUOTE="Dibdibdobdobo"] I just see it as parents blaming everything on anything else rather than looking in the mirror seeing why there children are screw ups. Violence does not do you any wrong. I had the choice to watch/play what i wanted and with the right parenting i did fine. My parents knew the differance between blaming everything else for there mistakes and looking at the real source which is bad parenting or naughty child.Dibdibdobdobo

[QUOTE="Dibdibdobdobo"]Ok. I've been watching violent movies and playing violent games since i was a toddler. Instead of watching The Karate Kid i wanted to watch Blood Sport or Kick Boxer. Instead of watching the Little Mermaid i watched Jaws. Instead of watching The Never Ending Story i'd rather watch Hellraiser. Cherokee_Jack

All kids want to watch and play violent things. That doesn't mean they should be allowed to just because violence happens in real life.

i think if you raise your kid right, they can watch whatever the hell they want. You should still try to prevent them from watching inappropriate content, because that will send the message that the content is wrong -- but i mean, they are going to get into the stuff by themselves. You can shelter your kids but once they go to a public school you have no control over the conversations they engage in.

if violent media influences a child to serious extents, then the problem is a lot bigger than then the media itself.

I didn't know they were forcing people to buy MadWorld now? Sega/Platinum are holding a chainsaw to people's heads?

While being family friendly is good for consumers, Nintendo opening up their doors to even more audiences is good for both the consumer AND their business as a whole.

It's more win imo.

Wow. That was quick. I hope the ban the game for eternity. Because it's on the Wii, and it's cool to hate the Wii.

they say it like the families HAVE to buy it or something.... people do have a choice in what games to buy, if they dont like for whatever reason, they just don't buy it....simple as that

Not only is it not the first violent game on the wii, but its not the first violent game on a nintendo system.

Get over it and move along. I doubt th ey'll actually be able to do any real damage unless people can't get it into their heads that game consoles are not toys - and certainly not geared only towards children.

Wow, talk about mainstream media. Some people actually expected Nintendo to maintain a consistency to make casual games and children-friendly content. Someone inform me when this gets broadcasted onto television. I'm curious to what the national news anchors have to say when taking their daily verbal diarrhea routines.

Nintendo brought this onto themselves.

"...successfully sold itself as being the gaming console for the entire family..." and since when have people who are old enough to play the game not been part of the family?
