HDMI 1.2 huh, exciting. Any why should current owners be excited, they're getting left out on any extra features that will be available to Elite cusomters. While everyone that owns a Playstation 3 is 'elite.' No one is getting left out of anything, early adopters of future buyers.

If you think the Elite is going to kill the PS3, you're not really looking at the big picture. I have stated many times that the Elite may just be a huge Financial flop. why?

1) it is still inferior technologically to the PS3 and when PS3 actually releases a game worth buying, consumers will realize that.

2) The market for 360's may be too little now. Sure, Halo 3 is coming out, but when you bought your 360, what game did you really buy it for at launch eh?

3) New consumers, like me, who may be buying a 360 as an alternative to PS3 due to its price or, like me, have been dissapointed with it thus far, will see that the price is similar and really, what can the Elite TRULY do that the 20GB version can't? Okay, there's HDMI and a bigger hard-drive, and if you're a casual gamer this matters because?

I think Lemmings may have a little trouble believing in what I believe will be a failure for the Elite. Personally, I'm happy with my little 20GB 360. I plug the component cables into my TV's component slots and then I use the HDMI to DVI converter cord to plug the PS3 into the TV as well. 1080i with two systems at the same time! Wow! Life is wonderful isn't it?

The hardware in the elite is different. People who just purchased it opened it up and found that the design isn't like the 20 gig system.

uhh, your thread title says "seriously GUYS ITS COMMON SENSE", although i see no reasoning and no point whatsoever in your post. i'm assuming you're saying the  xbox elite will be more reliable and break less, but that's not really a factor as most of the premium 360's now work just fine.

Honestly, the new Elite 360 is a complete ripoff IMO.  I mean..........NO Built in WIfi, NO HD-DVD, NO 65nm Architecture, NO BenQ Super Quiet DVD Drive, and NO Need for 120 GB on a console (esepcially w/o an easy means to transfer music and pictures to it because of lack of memory card slots).MikeE21286

They would use it if HDDVD fails. It would look pretty bad if you say you're on the HD bandwagon if you don't support any HD media format.

Elite is junk.  Premium is a better deal than Elite.  PS3 is a much better deal than Elite.
