Ripoff indeed.
Most of those games can be found on Ebay, Gamestop, Ebgames, Gamefly or any gaming stores that stillsell them used, for even far less the Marketplace price.
That God I still have Crimson Skies & Halo! Unscratched and stored safely in thier cases, plus I still play them alot!
LMAO. It is business. This is a new option. The pricing reflects what they think they can charge...like everything it will ultimately depend on demand. If no one buys them...the price will go down.
I bought Psychonauts for $15. A few bucks is worth the convenience for me. If you think I am going to root around in bargain basements you are dreaming. Time is money to me. I missed that game...I'll pay and did pay the $15 for the convenience.
If there are enough people like me then the price will stay the same...if notit will fall.
Oblivion horse armour was overpriced....because it was one of the first DLCs and no one really knew what it should be priced at. Later Oblivion updates provided more value for the money. This is the same thing.
It is capitalism. Deal with it.
And quit crying when someone offers you another alternative. If you don't like it...don't buy it. Vote with your wallet. But crying over it is immature and simply demonstrates that you don't have a clue about how business works.
They are a better value than the VC though. You can get fable for $15, which will keep you occupied for 10 hours...
Or you can buy Bonks Adventure for $6, which will keep you occupied for 3 minutes.

Not all VC games are like that. Like compare Fable to Paper Mario in better value.

What a comparison... Fable to Bonk's Adventure.
For $8 you can get a good 8-9 hours of gameplay on Super Metroid.
There are certain games that are said to play on the 360... I say play lightly though, because not every game runs smoothly on the 360 and has some issues. It's just a game of chance really...So if I wanted to play an Xbox game on my 360, all I have to do is put the game in the drive and download an update and it will work?
I'm asking because I'm still new to XBL and I want to pick up copies of Conker:L&R and Ghoulies.

You made a good point with number 5 there.
One thing is I know no where around me(EBGames, GameStop, etc.) sell Xbox games for $3-$5 like everyone seems to say. Maybe on eBay, but I prefer not to do that for an old game. I think $15 is slightly overpriced, but not as much as most of you say.
That's actually kind of sad and a superb example of trying to screw the consumer.Tiefster
Just buy it in the stores...I dont see the problem:|
[QUOTE="white45e"]the only points that you made that matter are price and space.
the price : you can buy it on ebay but then u have to wait to get it shipped and it will be used and could have problems with freezing/crashing or not even work.
the size of them : u can redownload them for free at any time so after you beat it just delete it.
everything else about the service is perfectly fine

You can walk into Game Crazy and get it for the same price as eBay, in fact they give them away for free.
And what, screen size or performance ARENT a problem? I personally dont want to watch a slide show of a tiny box in the middle of my TV.
who still goes to gamecrazy....we all go to gamestop...gamecrazy is for old peopleI just don't understand how there could be framerate issues. There should be NO framerate issues AT ALL on any of these games.-Beowulf
Because these games are emulations... The 360's hardware is entirely different than the original XB's... ATI vs. NVIDIA.. And because the 360 doesn't have a XB drive built into the box, like the PS3, they have to emulate the games to make them work on the new hardware.
