Hopefully Perfect Dark Zero 2 doesn't even get made because PDZ was complete garbage. However, Resistance was great, so hopefully the sequel builds and improves upon the first one.

You didn't even play PDZ. I doubt you've ever used the 360 before. If you have played PDZ, what was wrong with it?

Anyway, no one is going to be honest here. We don't know anything about these games, and people are just going to be biased towards the game on the other system.

Anyway, I'm more hyped for PD2 since I own a 360 and not a PS3.

Everyone who has played BOTH games, which is me. RFOM is such a boring game, jeez I couldn't stand it, same thing over and over again, got old really quick. 9.0 for PDZ....remember that. Plus it doesn't help that no one plays RFOM online anymore while you can easily find populated PDZ servers.

Yep. I remember the first time I played PDZ everyone had headsets and everyone worked with a stragedy using the headsets while in Resistance it was like a free for all in a team base game,almost noone had headsets, it was just running around spawn killing, it got old very quick.

Both were okay, not further than that.

PDZ was a very unimpressive game. Resistance was pretty good, but nothing spectacular, still good.

ROF2 is going to be much more fun then PDZ2 if they make a PDZ2.

Meanwhile, Resistance maintains 40 player servers and multiple game modes/rank systems....

I loved PDZ, although I can see why people hate it. Its for a very distinct taste, and there is a huge learning curve in the multiplayer.

I also heard Rare was making it much more realistic (instead of the cartoony character models), so my hopes are very high for this sequel.

I haven't played either so deciding which is better is just bs speculation at best.

Both devs will take what they learnt from making both an make them better. Both devs won't just sit around thinking they can pop out a reharsh and call it a day, specially rare who knows they have to nail the gameplay department this time cause of how badly they stuffed up in PDZ and the same will be down for resistance, they'll learn where they went wrong and fix it.

This whole this will be better then that based on first titles is stupid talk, coarse by dev teams they both are new to the fps genre (rare fps team is now free radical, no they left before microsoft ever bought rare) and because of it they have to learn how to make a game unique in a flooded genre. It isn't going to be a one sided fight until we have both games and know whats coming, heck rare could out of the blue nail PDZ2 (if they are even making it a prequel) and leave everyone scratching there heads and insomniac could flop Resistance ROM by not making anything new into the mix for it or vice versa.

It all comes down to who can make there game better and at the moment we just don't have a clue, going on baseless evidence that both games are following the same designs as before is stupid, specially in the FPS genre were you have to make yourself stand out or fail horribly.

It truly is only a number, because it does not even come close to reflecting how superior Resistance is to PDZ.

The fact of the matter is, that Perfect Dark Zero is clearly inferior to Resistance, and you don't need to go to a review site to know it, you just need to play the games. Gamespot's reviews are usually right, and I do not believe that Gamerankings should be the gold standard of Gamespot's forums, because we are at Gamespot. But in the case of Resistance vs. Perfect Dark Zero, Gamespot's scores simply do not reflect which game is better than the other. If you PLAY Resistance, you realise that it is superior to PDZ. If you are just a fanboy reading on a forum though, and you need PDZ to have the AAA score that it doesn't deserve for personal security, then you will fight tooth and nail that GS's scores are the end-all-be-all, even on the rare occasion that they are clearly wrong, or do not accurately reflect which game is better than another.

If Perfect Dark Zero and Resistance came out on the same day, Resistance would have gotten AAA while PDZ would have gotten a low AA, because RFOM IS A BETTER GAME.
