Looks like those numbers released a few days ago were fabricated (showing the PS3 ahead of the 360 and PS2) after all.

These numbers are exactly how I predicted they would be. 

It does surprise me that the 360 still outsold the PS3. Sony should have had ample supply to outsell Microsoft last month.Firelore29

I'm putting my money on people saying "Wait for the Europe launch of the PS3 for their sale numbers to go up." Granted I don't think it will be much of a pay-off. At any rate those numbers just pretty much confirm that a good deal of PS3 units are staying on shelves.RahnAetas

Weird. I expected something totally different. I thought both DS and Wii would sell a lot more. I also thought PS3 would outsell 360.

I dunno...Oh well. Good sales for all of them I suppose but I really did think all of them would be a lot higher. I know it's after Christmas, but still.

Nintendo has kept up consistent shipments, it's just that the demand is far outstripping the supply.

The PS3 has been flopping in Japan almost as hard as the 360 anyway, maybe more so when you consider the console maker. The 360 has been selling about 8k a week while the PS3 is doing about 20k a week. The Wii on the other hand is selling like hot cakes at about 80k a week in the past few weeks.
