You should just stop saying this, it's really pathetic coming from xbox fans of last gen.

I remember ALL the arguments of last gen and games that were being compared between the two consoles and the sales thread...last but not least the "spreadsheet" meta game stuff. Please spare everyone the sour grapes of trying to even out the playing field by saying things are "moot" and it seems "equal" because xbox is not winning.

Saying "Both consoles have just about equal worth" is just about as loud as you could announce yourself as being completely bitter and biased xbox fanatic.

There is nothing "equal" about these two consoles right now. In virtually EVERY field that xbox fans, like yourself, argued for superiority over PS3 last gen with xbox360, the PS4 has is extended margins by far greater levels.

The saddest thing about seeing posts like yours is knowing that superior multipalts, number of AAA titles available and sales figures were the biggest argument points for fans on here who argued for xbox360...curiously enough PS4 is vastly superior in those areas over to xbox one when compared to what xbox 360 had over PS3, but now we hear xbox loyalists saying all this is "moot" hmm lol smh.

I know you own a PS4 and I owned 360 last gen, so don't bother bringing that up as a counter to anything I"ve said here.

PS4 has 1002 games. Xbone has 501. Equal my ass.

Sony's going to experience next gen the same backlash Nintendo got this gen from disappointed gamers who bought PS Bore on hype alone like the Wii and feel very cheated in the end.

Xbox Too is gonna sell a billion. lol Just sayin :P

Not to mention a higher rated library of titles all around!

It's really pathetic because xbox 360 was beating PS3 by much smaller margins in the areas that xbox fans emphatically argued made the 360 factually "the superior console" and it released a year earlier lol.

I don't know why people around here have such short memories because the threads that were created using these arguments are ENDLESS from last. I am not even going to bother linking them since anyone who has been here for any decent length of time knows the deal.

PlayStation 4 outsells Xbox One in March.

• last gen, did sales matter?
• Did 360 having superior multiplats over PS3 make the consoles "equal" for people arguing here?
• Was 360 having a larger overall library and more AA, AAA games over PS3 "moot" throughout the gen?

Just curios because maybe my memory is fuzzy and perhaps none of that actually happend last gen. thx in advance :)

Exclusives Mattered

Indies didn't matter

Paying for online didn't matter

PC/360 games are advantage for 360

Yeah man, great month for GWG. Played through The Wolf Among Us then started Dead Space but QB and Alan Wake hit and well, some day I'll get back to it. So many great games, so little time these dayzzz.

@casharmy: you're right... I'm an "xbox fanatic" and I'm so salty over a plastic box that does 95% of the other plastic box its selling next to.

You cannot possibly think I have a single f*** to give about sales in an industry that aims for uniformity in its products. Sales were fun every generation prior to this one when parity mattered. I've lost my interest in arguing semantics and miniscule differences as it pertains to sales... Sorry to take a dump in your kool-aid...

I bought a ps4 as an "xbox fanatic" because I think Sony has a better bead on gamers wishes and I enjoy their focus on indie games, which is the most exciting movement in games, currently. Outside of that, I could not possibly give less of my mental effort as to who sold more, because I don't believe that owning the less sold console at this point means you are having less fun with your device of choice.... As a matter of fact, and as previously stated before your rant, I do not believe that people who own an xone are enjoying their choice any less than those of us who went with a ps4 this generation... I do not think the two are necessary given the efforts each company has put out so far this gen. They are equally enjoyable depending on your tastes... I am truly sorry I have evolved beyond discussing the utter worthlessness of who has deeper blacks and slightly better resolution.

Keep fighting that good fight though buddy... Sorry I won't be around to discuss all the little ridiculous talking points that fans of gaming have themselves wrapped up in this generation.

Like true gamers make distinctions between AAA and indie games. Games are games and right now Xbone has less of them and runs multiplats worse to top it off.

The market has spoken, Xbone is inferior to the PS4 in almost every way you can imagine.

Funny they said the PS4 is the console selling on hype. The Xbox One and Wii U were the front-loaded consoles that couldn't keep up with the PS4 or even the 360/Wii. They're the ones selling on hype. When hype dies, overall sales and consumer interest start falling downwards, right? That graph could show any quarter and look almost the same. PS4 keeps selling at a better pace than the other two, holding respectable averages, bringing more players in, hitting all the major markets worldwide strong like bull, making publishers happy with revenue, and now Sony has the luxury of experimenting with VR and expanding gaming tech further. Sounds like nice, steady accomplishments to me, all thanks to good, sound decisions.

I have to hear so much constant whining about Sony doing every big/little thing wrong and going in the wrong direction and heading for cliffs or walls or whatever, which only proves how blind and fanboyish they are. It's worse when their own companies aren't doing these same things much better (MS and Nintendo are not exactly shining examples of how to be successful in Gen 8). Getting advice and hearing predictions from some of them is the worst. Their delusional sickness is making me feel sick when I log on.

Declining numbers don't lie. Xbone and WiiU are both failures in the eyes of gamers.

If you think about it, kind makes BC pointless since the 360 is still selling.

You misunderstood me. Xbone is trailing behind X360 in the same period of time spent on the market. As @NathanDrakeSwag said. It was only matter of time.

After getting its ass kicked every month how long until 3rd parties just stop making games for xbone? Why waste time programing for 2 systems when pretty much everyone has a PS4?

From those Amazon shots it looks like exclusive commercial deals with companies such as Activision for COD isn't a dumb idea after all.

Unless someone is a Halo/Gears fanatic and play nothing else there is no reason at all to buy it so I'm not surprised.

I did, but it was for AC:syndicate a game a few months old for $20 on sale. Oh and got Xcom - Plus, Civilization rev 2, and UnEpic on Vita last month too (xcom is so good on the handheld! )

As for this month, Salt and Sanctuary and just got Dark souls 3 (both rock and would recommend both! ) Next purchase will be uncharted 4.

This console has vita amounts of games. There is a two shelf space, at best buy. They aren't even full shelves. It's crazy.

@Heil68: yep. Not even the PS2 rendered the competition this irrelevant. With Nintendo going full swing on the NX, MS better move fast or their console brand is toast.
