The one and only, Street Fighter V hype thread!!!

System Warriors, we are just 9 days [at the time of this post] away for the greatest fighting game of all times, that is Street Fighter V, Capcom's next great game.

Street Fighter V will be available to PS4 console exclusive and PC only, it makes sense to do business with Sony cause let's face it, Street Fighter games have always been popular on Sony's consoles for the longest and the controller [AKA Duelshock 4] they provide is easy to master and comfortable of the players hand.

So far, Street Fighter V full roster has pretty much been confirm and they are:

Pre-order bonuses: Collector's Editions for PS4: It'll come with the game, a 10-inch "fully painted" Ryu statue, a 48-page hardcover artbook, and "code cards" for bonus content (digital comics, a soundtrack sampler, and a one-month sub to the Capcom Fighters Twitch channel). It's priced at $99.99. Pre-order bonuses are also out there, including a grizzled Ryu (GameStop), a covert ops Cammie (Best Buy), a sinister M. Bison costume (Amazon), and a black dress for Chun-Li (digital). Street Fighter V is still set for a spring 2016 release on PC and PS4.

For me, I'm giving this bad boy a freaking AAA cause hey, it's Street Fighter V, I started with Street Fighter as my first ever fighting game back in the early 90's, and this series has always been good to me, I'm totally hype as it is and already pre-order it on my PS4.

Im going for AA. Im cautiously optimistic about how they are going to add dlc fighters. If they are going to make fight money accessible and have character unlocks like that, it will be a total 180 for capcom and I will totally pick it up. For now though I am waiting until some of the first dlc starts rolling out

Anyway I've got it pre-ordered on PS4 AND PC, easily one of my most hyped for games of this gen.

This game was off my radar, but because of all the hype threads: AM HYPED !

This game will score 10/10. That is my hype for Gamespot. About a 94 on Metacritic, I imagine.

Also for those of you who are in the market for any Arcade Stick Fights, I got this high quality Street fighter Arcade Stick Chun-Li Tournament Edition 2 from Mad Catz 4 weeks ago and I'm totally ready to use this bad boy:

One cost me $229 from Mad Catz, the reason why I have another one for some reasons, Mad Catz sent me another arcade stick for free by some kind of mistake on there part, despite I had enough money to pay for just one stick.

I'll get the PC version later this year and the fact that I don't game on PC that much so getting it on PS4 is ideal.

Thanks. It ain't cheap, this is a high quality stick that I can use on all fighting games on my PS4 and PS3 as well. I wanted Chun-Li cause she's my Waifu lol. I don't know how, but how did Mad Catz screw up and gave me another stick for free, was freaking amazing, I'll sell it to the highest bitter.

I can't imagine GS giving a fighting game a 9 or a 10. I'm predicting 7/8. I wish I was more hype, but the lack of characters I play makes me feel meh.

My hype is 'meh', I'm not a fan of fighting games

Scores wise I think it'll get an 8/10 (unless they've given it to Alexa in which it'll be a 5 because of visible female flesh)

Going with a nine here. I want to pick it up admittedly but I have no idea if I'll get into it.

Of course, this post could look just as silly as my "I've never played a Souls game because I don't know if I'll like them" posts.

This is the biggest game of the gen for me. I've put way too many hours into Street Fighter IV in training mode, online, with friends locally, and at tournaments. I've been in every beta and the game is essentially genius right now. They've made some of the smartest decisions I've ever seen with a fighting game.

My personal hype is 9 out of 10. SFV will easily be my most played game of 2016.

I think critics might deduct points because it is launching before the story mode is ready though.

8/10 GS with a 89 Metacritic

P.S. This game is $30 on PC, get rekt consoles.

Edit: Just saw this, hell maybe even lower, actually it should be lower... How can you not complete a fighting game story mode... No wonder it's $30 on PC, it's half a game...

Really? I stand corrected.

While different types of fighting games from Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (9.5) and its sequel Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (9.0) both received 9s.

Half a game? Nobody in their right minds plays a fighting game for single player content outside of training mode which this game has in full force. Story mode for SFV is completely irrelevant IMHO.

In any case, Fighting games are a genre I feel cannot be properly reviewed until years down the line.

i think I will block PC players from my pool of opponents. I'm not certain about this but I can see cheating with complex moves being mapped to one key/button or some other cheap tactics.

If this isn't possible someone feel free to inform me.

I'd just wait it out and see what happens, there's been no cheating issues related to PC and Rocket League.

11/10 and since I don't play fighting games I wont be buying it. But I hope you fans enjoy the hell out of it.

I created a hype thread for this myself just to ensure people wouldn't miss the train. Most of the best fighting gamers from all around have already had a chance to play this with each other and it always looks amazing.

This game is going to be a movement all in itself for the online competitive scene. When it comes to multiplayer there's nothing more intense and competitive than fighting games and SFV will raise that bar to a new level upon it's release.

I want one of those Chun Li fight stick. Might just order one... damn you davillain. I have the Fate/Stay Night UBW blu ray ($180) on preorder this month along with Fire Emblem SE. Those plus this would be $500+ and then I have to buy the game too. ****

There are controllers you can buy that does the same thing, but I haven't noticed cheating on SFIV on PC.

Those are for consoles. They are banned at offline tournaments though.

It's a fighting game that is missing its story mode, what earthly reason could a fighting game have where its story mode is going to be completed post release...

You do know that VERY few fighters have actual story modes right?

The game still has the regular arcade modes that SF has also had and this is just an attempt to try and give the series a big story like MK has, so no the product will be perfectly fine.

Also the game is £25 because of third party sites when it's £49.99 on Steam and GAME etc, keep trying though.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I couldn't careless about the lore of SF. That is not why I play it and I'm sure there are a lot of others that feel the same. I don't care if Bison is Chun Li's dad and Vega caught Blanka, Rose, and Hugo in a 3-way. I just want to compete.
