Hell, you were the first console (Atari is, by my standards, a home arcade) and defined console gaming, but the SNES is better.

Hey, cry me a river. I'll help with some ambiance. You didn't have FF6. DON'T TRY AND CONFUSE ME WITH YOUR FINAL FANTASY III!!! It was a great game, but it was Japan only. There are some things you could do that the little bro couldn't (like DuckTales), but SNES was better. You were a transition machine, but the SNES was a Renaissance console. Leonardo daTendo.

Hey, come back NES! *NES comes back* Why must you disappoint me? A lot of your key games got their start on the MSX, and were better. Metal Gear, Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, a whole lot of 'em! And why'd you sweep Faria under the rug, along with many other great games? You're nothing compared to your little brother. The only reason God doesn't erase you from existence is because you amuse him, somehow. But wait until he gets to the Rat Race level in Battletoads ...
Looks like the NES needs a confidence boost;

And the results of his accident...
Vweeh-hee-hee! I fear you've outlived your usefulness, NES.

Actually "it had" Snatcher, plus SD Snatcher. Besides countless other Konami games. And the amazing Compile games, like ALESTE series, Guardic, Xanac, Golvellius, Madou Monogatari etc.
PS1 is great. i practically grew up on that console. i'm only 20 and my parents wouldnt let me have videogaems when i was really young.

Yes really. The pause button was really annoying indeed. But that had nothing on the quality of the games. Alex Kidd was far better than Mario. Those DQ and FF games had nothing on Phantasy Star. Ys was an atrocity on the NES. Power Strike II was the best SHMUP of the whole 8-bit era.
Oh, and who can forget the FamiDisk beauty. Nothing like having your games melt down on you.

Let's get some music going. You like that? Its SNES music. Yea, its better than what you push. And I'm afraid he died of old age. He simply wasn't loved and...had to go. Hell, you started off with a stupid add-on that only supported two games, but what did little bro do? He gave us a pseudo-3D thrill. Face it, you were a means by which the industry could achieve greater things, and the SNES was the realization of said things. You have no more place in today's industry.
Yes really.

Let me tackle this one by one:
Alex Kidd was good at first, but then went downhill at a 90 degree angle. Quickly. Everything after Miracle World sucked.
Phantasy Star was pretty damn good, but the dungeons were horribly hard. Seriously, it felt like D&D, making maps and thinking from that perspective and such.
...I agree with you.
Can't say much on the last two.
But the NES is better. And since that's gonna go jump in a lake due to depression (inflicted by me), imagine the SMS's problems. You know not who you mess with :P:|.

Alex Kidd and the Lost stars was good. And SEGA had more stuff like Wonder Boy/Monster World. You seem to think everything is hard. Langrisser was hard for you if I remember.
You must play too much Nintendo games for you to think like that.
Overall, the Master System was still better.

Not really, no. I couldn't even make out what they were saying (I'm guessing "I'm the Miracle Ball", but it could be anything), and it pulled that damn "time bar that looks like a health bar" trick that pisses me off. And yea, those games were good.
Yea, that one was hard, but I've played some other games that were legitimately hard. And if anything, I find a lot of games to be too easy. So many, in fact, that I stop bringing up that point in my blogs.
No, I was agreeing with you when I said that Ys on the NES was an abomination. How horrible. Confusing dungeons and thigh raping gameplay. And let's not forget a title with two consonants. How do you prononce that!?*
No, NES was. Did it have Battletoads? Or a good Double Dragon?
*I know how to pronounce the damn word, I looked it up.

Are you kidding? Double Dragon on the NES was awful. The Master System version blows it out of the water. And yes, it had Battletoads in South America I believe.Master System had Golvellius, Zillion, Kujaku-Ou, Chou-on Senshi: Borgman.
Master System was the best.
And Ys is pronounced like *geez*

ScrewAttack doesn't seem to think that way, and they're as old school knowledgable as both of us. The Nerd insulted it for the SMS, but the NES version was in the Top 10 Beat em Ups.
Really? South America? I think they had a crapload of SMS games that nobody else got. I think they got Gunstar Heroes and Sonic Blast.
Good game, haven't played, and the last two sound like they're horribly obscure and/or Japan-only.
No, the control eliminates it. Mushy D-pad, start button on the console, and some weird 3D thing that was just as unneeded as it was in a few Square games.
You didn't see the asterisk. did ya?

ScrewAttack? please... yes I saw their "amazing" Top 10 SHMUPS of all-time list. Yes, very savvy indeed. :?wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even played it.Like I already mentoned, the Master System was the best despite the start button. It had nothing to do with the quality of the games themselves. The uncomfortable NES pad and it's cheap D-pad wasn't what you would call a good controler neiher.

I'd say you're disappointed because you import. They're limited to what they own, and I'm not sure they import.
Still, NES was better. Let's play "You Name SMS Game and I Name a Better on the NES". And it has to be in the ballpark, no responding to Phantasy Star with freaking Battletoads.

Still, it shouldn't have attempted to have that plot. Leave the anime cutscenes to CD based add on games. And I want hard, I just don't want frustrating. A good example would be UN Squadron, Axelay, and, not in the genre, Blast Corps. A good example of frustrating is Ghosts 'N Goblins. Again, not that genre, but frustrating and cheap.

Whatever, I haven't played them in a really long game. And I guess I'll say Pulstar to replae those.
I've seen some people here say n64 was better and thats just flatout crazy I'll agree the n64 had some big heavy hitters of that generation but overall was just too weak compared to the almighty psone I mean the n64 had like very little fighting games or rpgs for one so it was missing too very important genres for the most part. if you think the n64 was better yo9u didn't play much psone games if any at all I mean the fricken rhythem, genre was born on psx with parappa the rappa.
I will say the argument can be made for the snes I personally think the psx was better but its very close between psx and snes but n64 I'm sorry just didn't have the overall library to compare although it did have some of the best games of that gen.
