The PS3 does not deliver

RPGs.

It doesn't have many.

I still need to get Fallout 3, but the PS3 needs something like Mass Effect, or Fable 2.

I wouldn't need to consider getting a 360 if the PS3 delivered like it should.

If you're satisfied with your PS3, explain why.

i voted almost there, i'd like to see some more rpg's and some more indie games for the psn. in fact an indie rpg w/ old school sprites would be killer.

First of all, FABLE is not an RPG, it's more akin to Zelda, an action adventure. Sure, 360 PR touts it as an RPG, but it's not. I finished it with almost 1000 points, and I have the first one. Anyways, The PS3 doesn't need a Fable, at all.

There is White Knight Chronicles coming, just in case. The PS3 could use a Bioware RPG, sure, and it will be delivered as Dragon Age.

TC. If you're that disappointed with your PS3, why don't you just sell it and get an Xbox360?

As I'm not really a big RPG fan I don't really care about it's lack of RPG's. The only one the 360 has that I enjoyed that the PS3 doesn't is Mass Effect and chances are PS3 will meet that with White Knight, which I'm only looking forward to because I hae enjoyed Level 5's past efforts.

I look toward my PS3 for great exclusives.... still waiting here.

the PS3 delivers very much, especially in the last 2 years. it may not have too many exclusive RPGs but games like valkyria chronicles are very good. plus white knight chronicles and demons souls are coming soon. besides, i wouldnt say if the PS3 mildly lacks in one genre it doesant deliver, at least for me.

After ONLY 2 years PS3 has gotten plenty of games many high scoring in their catagory.

First Person Shooters: Killzone, Res2, Bioshok, COD.... many more ..... Cheek

WRPG: Elder scrolls, Fall out 3, .... Cheek

JRPG: FF, ... more to come chek

Action: MGS4, .... Cheek

This is in the first 2 years. PS3 has increased in ability and graphics, in only 2 years and this is the console that is hard to program for, and who's Dev kits came out only a short time before the Console launched!!!!

the ps3 delivers, but i would like to see a lot less shooters and more platformers, rpgs, and adventure games. also, they need to re-release more of the psone classics. most of the so called classics on psn arent classics.i really want to see the re-release of ff8-9, ff tactics, chrono cross, and resident evil 2

Demons Souls, and White Knight Chronicles should keep any PS3 gamer very busy as far as RPG's go. Tales of Veperia, and FFXIII as well.

Overall, the PS3 has more than enough of what I want and can't wait to get my hands on i.e. God of War III, The Last Guardian, Uncharted 2, Gran Turismo 5...etc...

It meets my high standards...

I don't really consider Folklore and Valkyria Chronicles to be RPGs. I own them both, and enjoy them, but one's an Action Adventure and the other is a Turn Based Strategy (as far as I'm concerned.)

some more rpgs would be nice, but i think the PS3 has a great library. i'm really enjoying infamous right now.

If you don't understand my point, then that's probably why you don't understand the concept of a "majority".

I'm not really an RPG fan but the PS3 does have some great games that suit me down to the ground.

Yeah but see that's only four genres. I for one love Rpgs/Sims (ME and Fable2) and also love stealth games (Hitman: BM and Splinter Cell). The Ps3 only seems to have Action games and Shooters (I hate JRPGs so I left them out). Sure that's cool for the first few monthes but can get boring after a while. The Ps3 is just barely losing the battle for me to get that or a 360. I hope they can pump out a better veriety of games soon.
