It pretty much delivers for me. It has some action/adventure games(MGS4, R&CF: ACIT, Uncharted), FPSs(Resistance, Killzone), Racing (GT5, Ridge Racer 7, Wipeout HD), all it's lacking are RPGs, but with some releasing at the end of this year and sometime next year, it should fill that gap pretty soon. It also has a blu-ray player and web browser, so I'm happy with what it has to offer.:D
What a stupid question. Seriously, what did you get out of playing dumb right there? You obviously know what he's ****ing saying. No, PS3 is a good system, but all of its exclusives, aside from LittleBigPlanet, are overhyped and overrated, in my opinion. They are still good, but nowhere near as good as they are made out to be.
It's not a stupid question. Why buy and keep a console for one game, then whine and complain about how it doesn't have any games you like? I found MGSIV to be a great game, but definitely not worth buying a console for.
No console is worth one game.
If you buy a console for one game without checking out the console's library to see if it has any games you like in the future and come to a realization later that it doesn't have anything you want or like, then why waste your money?

i dun own a PS3 but i want one, the only thing PS3 laking is RPGs but not those you mentioned, westeren RPGs are the crappiest type of RPG, PS3 lacks *** RPG like LO, star ocean.

Completely delivers, it dose lack RPGs but since ive been playing Demons Souls it makes up for that. If your a hardcore RPG player who really likes a challenge import or pick up Demons Souls in October. Demons Souls= one of the best JRPGs ive ever played.

I ordered mine last week. I can't wait to receive it in the mail. From everything I've read and heard, it seems like the type of RPG i will love.
The PS3 is my only main console for this generation (along with a PSP and DS) and I couldn't ask for anything more. I watch movies both in BR and DVD and I play games on my PS3, that to me is more bang for my wallet. Online is free, which is perfect for me who doesn't play online often, if not ever. And the PS3 tends to be more focused on the single player experience, out of the 3 consoles.
Imo, the PS3 is pretty much all I need for this gen.

So far, after 5 weeks of PS3 ownership, it has been better than expected. There is plenty of already released games to keep me busy.
Helen would like an action -adventure, where she can control some cronies. Let them fight the bad guys, while she chooses magic spells to throw at the Bosses from a safe distance- like 5 miles.

How far have you gotten into it?
About 6 hours in, im a soul lvl 11 and beat the first Demon. Another tip youll need to know, in the first lvl you will come across a dragon that wont let you pass over a bridge to get to were you need to go to kill the Demon. When you come to the bridge stand on the right hand side next to the wall so his fire cant hit you. Use your cross bow(youll need about 100 arrows) till hes 3/4 dead and he will fly away.. I was stuck there for several hours.
When I bought my PS3 I was excited for a few games and after playing them (Resistance: Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword, Full Auto 2) was really disappointed. So now, I don't get hyped about PS3 games after being disappointed three or four times. As for Blu-ray it has been great. The only game that I actually like on the PS3 is Ratchet and Clank and it got a price drop so I might actually start playing it but overall it has been a disappointment.

I still need to get Fallout 3, but the PS3 needs something like Mass Effect, or Fable 2.
I wouldn't need to consider getting a 360 if the PS3 delivered like it should.
If you're satisfied with your PS3, explain why.

Mass Effect and Fable 2 being the fine line between not enough rpg's and just fine goes a long way to tell us something about this gen and quality rpgs.
In Japan yeah, there are many upcoming RPGs (Atelier Rorona, Last Rebellion, Trinity Universe, Tears to Tiara: Riddle of Avalon, Tales of Vesperia, End of Eternity, FFXIII, FFvXIII).
Overall I have been let down by the PS3. The system has had moments of brilliance but still lags far behind my XBOX 360 in terms of gaming and lags miles behind in terms of online gaming.
PS3 has pretty much has what I want from a console great games and free online. The only thing I want is more rpgs and the same 3 features I keep asking for PSN. WHich is party and cross game chat voice and instint invite.
For me so far the PS3 certainly delivers. It's true that it's a bit lacking on the RPGs tho, but it recently got Demon's Soul (Yeah i know only on import atm...) and it's the best RPG i've played this gen so far, and i've played pretty much every RPGs on PC, 360 and PS3 as it's my favorite genre so that's saying much.
I like your choice of ME but Fable 2 is garbage (Yes, in my opinion :roll: ) and I don't think PS3 needs it. Trade that for LO.Ibacai
a ps3 owner thinking Fable 2 is garbage ? 88.45% at gamerankings is not garbage. Remember that Resistance 1 and 2 only got 86% at gamerankings and cows have hyped both games since release, or was the hype only because they were the only 2 FPS games on the ps3 ?
