Not to be rude, but be honest. Since the outlawing of the slave trade, which the Dutch started, when have the Dutch been a world player.BosoxJoe5
Sorry, the Netherlands>USA. Have you ever seen USA playing Football(soccer)? They suck. Guess what, Amsterdam Admirals won the world cup in American Football a couple years ago. Holland has legal weed, in USA you will be arrested. If a teacher incidently goes on a Porn site they will not get 40 years in prison here just like in the USA. Sorry but Holland>USA. And The Netherlands are best in keeping the water out of the land. Plus the Port of Rotterdam, in Holland is the biggest port of whole EU and one of the biggest of the whole world besides Singaporeawww man, u were doing so good until you had to bring us Americans in it.
I have no problem with The Netherlands, but USA has alot of great things about it, and keep in mind we had a big hand in liberating The Netherlands in WWII.
Soccer just isn't that big in the USA at this time. We still have 4 major sports that are bigger.
On topic: The PS3 will continue to flop until the price drops and/or they get more big exclusives.
Which ironically enough we doan't dominate baseball or basketball any more=/ and hockey has always been really competitve.. Football is the only sport that we hold the forefront on, and that has more to do that its not popular what so ever in other places.. Granted Canada and Europe have leagues, theya re no where near the populartiy of other sports.
Baseball- The amount of talent that is attracted to America via the major leagues is far more than any country can warrant. I don't really care if Manny is dominican, he became a superstar because he played baseball in the US. He got where he is because he came to the US. There isn't a foreign player who can do what Barry Bonds has done, or what Griffey would have done had he not gotten hurt every time he stepped on the field for the past five years. There are plenty of talented foreign players, I will definitely admit. But baseball is a game such that it is VERY easy for the better team to lose. Any team can win on a good day.
Basketball- The US players simply don't care to win any more. There isn't a presence in the NBA that makes it their personal agenda to obliterate the competition night-in and night-out. Jordan is gone. Bird is gone. Magic is gone. Now they're left with a bunch of supremely talent athletes that play for the paycheck. However, I do think that Dwayne Wade and Amare Stoudemire will change things.
And if you want to talk about pure athleticism, just watch the track and field events in the olympics.
Anyways, this is a gaming forum.
