Out of the hundreds of Cows I've heard ridiculing Gears of War's short campaign length, I've never seen one of them utter a statement even close to this.
I expect this to be a flop. It could still be decent, but I highly doubt it will be the game many people hype it up to be, and I certainly wouldn't call it a killer app.
I will be purchasing this game... It looks absolutely fantastic...
Also heres my two cents:
When this game was being hyped (I mean by the developers) they were stressing that this game is going to be a cinematic experience... Now when everyone here starts bickering and complaining about the game play (after the demo), to me, they never hyped the uber super duper original gameplay... lets face it, it is a hack and slash, and I do not mind it one bit. Im in it for the ride, the cinematic experience, I want to experience the audio, the acting, and the visuals to tell me a compelling story. I am glad it is short, I have little enough time as it is (yeah the REAL world has priority) and hopefully this game will deliver on the cinematic side.

I think we should keep this thread in mind for the GS review. A game comes to mind... Lair. Yeah, Heavenly Sword's graphics are nice but it's gotten so-so reviews from other sources. I wouldn't get your hopes too high... or will Sony Fans never learn?AnimeArtist

It flopped on 1 site, thats it. I hardly see how that makes it a flop but whatever. Back on topic. Yes i am extremely excited that the PS3 finally getting some quality exclusives. I liked Risitance and MS but this seems to totally blow them out of the water. In all of the reviews that i've read they have said that the only problems with it is that the animations are soo good that you can't look at the beautiful scenery in the background. :P I am a little dissappointed that the game is rather short, but after i beat it i will probably go through it a couple more times and find the hidden goodies, and try to beat the Hell Mode. The game just sounds like a blast. I was really dissappointed that Lair is so bad, but this definately takes that sadness away. ;)
