Saudi arabia is a very rich country ...i'm sure they own a 360 , wii , ferrari , like 10 HDTVs and so on so no wonder PS3 is selling well , people don't know what to spend their money on.turgoreI would not describe a country as being wealthy when the wealth belongs to a very small percentage of the overale population.

What?? most of the country is rich, if you look out the window you'd probably see a ferrari every 2 mins or something there. and i don't think it funds terrorism!!!!

The country is most certainly NOT rich. The rulers are rich, yes, but generally the people are not. The per capita income of Saudi Arabia is $12,000, which is fairly high by middle east standards, but still falls well short of the United States and Western Europe & Japan.

Actually there are many rich people, but there are many poor people, it almost seems like a pyramid scheme. But I think a lot of people are getting Saudi Arabia confused with the United Arab Emirates who are the 5th richest people in the world.[QUOTE="iamtheonlynem"][QUOTE="Xbox360gamer1"][QUOTE="nintendo-4life"][QUOTE="Xbox360gamer1"][QUOTE="AvinashTyagi"]We shouldn't give them another reason to hate us :PTrailorParkBoyThey love us. In fact, bin Laden despises the Saud family and regards them as apostates of Islam. Nonetheless, there are large proportions of the Saudi and Middle Eastern population that harbor antipathetic feelings toward the United States as a result of U.S. foreign policy toward the region.

That is a long way behind most western countries. $30k is the average for western Europe or Japan and the US is about $40k. Here is a link for anyone who thinks I'm making these figures up. The person I quoted was a bit off but not too far the GPD per capita for SA is $13 500
