The PS3 took a massive nose-dive this year.

No. All of the list thing happened in this thread. This thread only shows the SW games list for 2010(stevo makes a specific one for each year, so it's more comprehensive in that sense and purpose) in a graph form. Basically just same old SW but in a graphical mode. As usual some people didn't liked the result and started with the conspiracy theories, the company wars, the 360 vs PS3 wars and who knows what else.

Secondly, that doesn't mean that the other console line-up is horrid, as a matter of fact, many would probably agree that the console with the 12 AA rated games had a better year than the console with the AAA rated game, but "ON PAPER" the console or system with the 1 AAAE over the other console would win.

Yeah, after the barrage of exclusives near the beginning of the year, it's a little disappointing to not finish the year as strongly. Oh well, it only makes 2011 all the better :D

I'm confused, what 4 high profile exclusive games did the PC have during those first two month sets? Because I don't remember anything good for PC until SCII, CiV5 and Amnesia, which all came out during summer.

If you are going to count plain sight then you may as well count Limbo, Joe Danger and Sports Champions. The graph also doesn't take into account games on some platforms that aren't on others, such as ME2 on PC/360 and Red Dead Redemption on consoles, which I'm assuming would factor into this giant pointless fanboy graph if you were really serious.

I do completely agree with what you're saying. Their strong start petered off rather pathetically and following their delay binge there's nothing left but the running joke that is GT5, Move stuff and HD collections. Roll on 2011.

I don't even has a PS3 but yes they can play multi-plats while they wait for exclusives. Actually I probably enjoy multiplats more then most exclusives anyway.

How do they count PC sales? Doesn't every PC sold count? That number has to be more than what that chart shows. Bread_or_Decide

Until Gran Turismo 5 comes out, which according to the PS Blog is going to happen before the holidays are over, the Ps3 will be missing a meaningful exclusive for the second half of the year.

But thats all the system needs, really. That and the Multiplats.

well, PS3 owners have always had the stigma of not playing alot of games. Dont think thats true though. Keep in mind that alot of peopel probaly bought a PS3 mainly for Bluray.

I came into this thread anticipating some interesting statistics and discussion. Unfortunately, the OP is basically saying that the first half of 2010 was much more impressive than the second half for the PS3 (exclusive game-wise). Well, I agree! Beyond that, what's the point? Nevermind...

I actualy think 360 was better this year then PS3. Even though ME is now on PS3, that still came out, plus Alan wake, Halo Reach, and soon Fable 3. really teh only PS3 Exclusvie I cant think that was stellar off the top of my head would be GOW 3.

But look at the Playstation 3, look at the solid start and then va-roooom, into the ground. A few long months without any high quality exclusives. And aside from the Xbox 360, the Wii and PC are holding up great by consistently having a solid array of high quality exclusives. The Xbox 360 had an extremely bad start of the year (ME2 aside), and then hit the goose-egg yet again during the summer -- though a good thing the Xbox 360 has had this year is its offering with the Xbox Live Arcade, which is stellar as always.

Nevertheless, this question has been in my mind -- what exactly have PS3 owners been playing lately? Multiplatform games? The million-dollar question, folks.

i can only speak personaly, but didnt MLB The Show 10,ModNation Racers,3D Dot Game Heroes,Sports Champions and MAG get middling reviews?

lol @ saying the PS3 took a "massive" nosedive this season.The graph is misleading and paints a overdramatic statistic. There is no such thing as a .5 exclusive but the graph includes it and that makes it look bigger than it really is. So just lookat his chart in laments terms the 360 only has 1 exclusive coming out that he says is "huge" (even though I have no idea what exclusive he is referring to) so it isnt really that huge of a difference to compare with.

i'm still playing killzone 2 and demon's souls, and the next game i'm going to be playing is killzone 3. so yeah, the PS3 library isn't the hottest thing around these days, neither is the 360's but there are multiplats to remedy that.
