And that's not even all of it. On paper, the X1 and PS4 may look similar, but the AMD APU in the PS4 was heavily modified.
The PS4 also has a dedicated video encoder chip. When you stream your gameplay, you will take no hit in performance.
I'm tired of seeing people here (and even professional journalists) continue to state that the difference between the X1 and PS4 is small. That is far from the truth. The GPUs alone have a bigger performance difference than last gen's PS3 and Xbox 360. And if we are talking memory, the modifications in the APU make up for the GDDR5 latency. You get the best of both worlds with the PS4's hardware.
"Worried about GDDR5 latencies? Don't be. Large cache, very capable bus, shortcuts and clever data transferring between CPU and GPU make that a non-issue."
