The PS4 is just so bland in comparison

I enjoyed the PS4 for about a week even though Killzone and Knack were mediocre games, Resogun was pretty cool. But after one day with the XBone, the Kinect really is the way of the future, Sony needs to stop calling their system a game machine and go the XBone route if it's ever going to stand a chance. It may win in sales in the short run but as XB1 continuously gets tweaked and updated it's going to steamroll over the PS4 pretty badly.

Kinect is a gimmick and will be useless, just like it has always been useless. How long has the Kinect been around and how much has it influenced? Think about it geniuses.

Might as well go with the gaming machine with the significantly more powerful hardware (meaning significantly more gaming capability) and significant more developer support. If people want to watch TV, they aren't going to get an Xbox One to do it. If people want to play games, they aren't going to get an Xbox One to do it. Looks like the Xbox One is 100% useless.

Why support a company that constantly tries to rip you off anyways? $75 for a controller with recharge capability VS $60? Force a Kinect camera on all consumers and then don't make any significant use of it in the launch games? $500 for a console that only has 2/3 the graphics power of the competitor?

People aren't dumb enough to fall for Microsoft's trap anymore. There is a reason why Xbox One is already selling like crap compared to the PS4 - consumers are wisening up to their snake-oil tactics.

What you are showing looks really stupid because many lems like you said they bought a PS4 to sell on ebay. what games do you have and why don't you show it hooked up with your PS4 and your user ID and today's date? If you do that you might have a little more credibility.

Look I'm sorry you couldn't afford to buy both systems but that's hardly my fault. Not all of us need to sell the thing on Ebay. I bought the PS4 to see how it compares and quite frankly I'm not impressed.

I agree, I could of bought a ps4 yesterday, I passed though because it doesn't offer anything new. I want something I have never done before, which is what Xbox 1 is doing. I just need to get my hands on one. They were sold out all over Chicago yesterday.

The ps4 strikes me as an updated Xbox 360. It doesn't take any chances. I've been gaming on the 360 since 2005 and I've already done all that. Time for a change for me.

Just because you like the X1 doesn't mean the PS4 isn't a good gaming machine. You know Sony also updates and tweaks their consoles over time with updates and such. This is what Lems have always had, X-goggles. It makes them look at the xbox as superior. Looks like you've got the same problem. I don't care to watch TV on my console. I don't care for the lame camera. I don't care about the color green or if there's an X on it. I use it to play games. I don't care for a company screws over consumers for every dollar it can try to get from them. When you prefer Xbox, you prefer the anti-consumer business practices of MS. Believe me if Sony's not leading in the gaming business, it leads to MS doing crappy things towards gamers/consumers. Sony keeps things simple. If you want other stuff like Xbox has then fine, but Sony builds gaming machines. MS is an overly controlling greedy company. This is bad for gaming and consumers. Sony keeps MS in check! All of the so called features of the xbone are things that are deal breakers for me. Kinect is annoying, motion sensing is buggy and nothing more than a gimmick to impress little kids. Voice commands are annoying. My living room is a place of relaxation not for loudly barking frustrating commands to my TV (my dog would probably think I was yelling at him). If I did have cable, I would rather use my cablebox which would be sitting right next to it without video/audio degradation in quality. Its just not that hard to hit HDMI 2 on the remote--it is certainly less annoying than yelling.

Still having trouble with the X1 interfacing with my audio receiver and cable box. Xbox doesn't recognize the STRDH740 natively, working on a fix.

If he has played PS4, analyzed the UI, played the games and all of that...why the hell is he showing us boxes? Wouldn't any normal person who owns the systems show them hooked up to their TVs...you know, the one they have played and tested the games on so much?

I really enjoy mine and it will only get better. The great thing with the PS4 is you can always add features via software, but with MS there is nothing you can do about the weak hardware.

EXACTLY!!! Pathetic is what this topic really is! Sony builds gaming machines at a minimal cost to the consumer/gamer and does it well. MS builds ca$h boxes for them to rake in the money. Then you get these X-fanboys that get all caught up in it even though it's been proven over and over MS is greedy, controlling, and doesn't give a shiz about the consumer. When MS tried their latest anti-consumer tactics, they said "deal with it!" used game fees, no renting, DRM. Total control and charging every which way they can to bring more ca$h. Then Sony embaresses them at E3 and the whole gaming world calls BS, and the government says no to Kinect as it is against privacy laws. But all the X-fans do is excuse this crap away and buy Xbox any way.

I bought a 360 which got a failed HDD, scratched my game discs, and then got RRoD. I also owned the first Xbox. I don't care for MS. Sony keeps things simple.

34 post's later, still no picture of his PS4 nor posts of the games he has bought for it to test all of what he is claiming.

Exactly how long does it take to turn on a PS4, take a pic of the UI with the games you have with a pic of your user ID and date and uplaod to photobucket or another online picture uploading site and post here? At most 5 minutes right? According to this thread it's been 42 minutes since his original post...yeah

Probably his neighbors PS4. He fired up his XBone, got bored with it and is trolling Gamespot now.. Day 2 of Xbone ownership showing us who's boss.

There is no reason anyone would be showing "boxes" of consoles at this point. It's clear that either he bought the console just to sell on ebay and CAN'T open the box nor hook it up because it would degrade the worth of his sale, or he just took the pictures before and already sold the system and no longer even has it, or or he got the boxes out of his neighbors trash and shamelessly posting as if he has thoroughly played the system to make his stupid biased posts.

congrats buddy. I'm guessing, counting a game or two on each system and an extra controller, around $1,200 on two systems. Not counting the monthly subs for each. tell me more about your revelations....

The blandness is a strength. Just like it was for the psone/ps2..

Couple of points. Aside from the HDMI-in, all the other features are things the PS4 could incorporate. The HDMI-in is the only real thing the X1 can do that PS4 can't.

However, there could be issues with picture quality. I think Sony was smart not to get too distracted by the other stuff. I could easily see more smart TVs doing everything Kinect does just as well or better. Eve some DVRs now have voice commands, a nice TV set and DVR would be a better option. MSFT has to do more to show the value and justify the device before other devices or the PS4 do the same.
