Spotify bro.

What do I think? I think I'm tired of Internet tirades from blowhards who beat their chest about every triviality. Why the hell would you burn out the bluray drive on your PS4 to play audio CD's? Even if I still had a CD collection I wouldn't use my PS4.
That's not an issue as far as music is concerned. I'm bummed that you can't play music while gaming like 360 could, on either console.
@blackace: If for some reason I did buy a physical music CD I would immediately convert it to digital format on my PC. Who the heck wants to play CDs on their console...almost no one.
Most people are completely missing the point here... This is not a debate on the validity of CDs in 2015. It's that practically every optical drive in existence supports CD audio playback, except the PS4. It's a given that you buy a DVD or BluRay drive and it will play a CD, except on PS4. It's such a minor feature to implement that it just shocks me they decided to leave it out.
As many people have pointed out, most laptops don't have optical drives (due to form factor, not a problem with something as large as the PS4) so I rely on my game console for ripping or playing my library of over 300 CDs. Yes, people do still buy CDs and there are a lot of gamers born before 1985 that have a significant number of CDs they might occasionally want to use.
God damn you people saying Spotify is the answer. This is just another example of Sony shitting on it's users and not caring otherwise.
