Its not the graphics, its the online capabilities. They're simply put, HORRID. I'm a hermit too, so I'm used to being pampered with online features. Everyone knows that communication is common on PC either through keyboard, vent or in game voice support. So I finally tested the Wii's online gaming with Battalion Wars 2, I just turned off the game because I was very unimpressed. Not with the game, just with the online features. There is no type of communication or any type of community feel. It actually makes me want to get rid of my Wii and go back to being 100% hermit :/ Its that disappointing folks.

Wii's online capabilities at this time are about on par with the Sega Saturn Netlink(if you ever heard of that.), maybe worse. Actually, I think Xband on Snes was more advanced than what Nintendo is offering for the Wii.

It's one more double standard from the sheep. Online is great, but if the Wii underperforms, it is excusable. It's controls are the best, but, if a similar game outsells it with traditional controls - it's excusable.

I'd have to agree. Nintendo really should have created Mic functionality and a mute button. That way everyone's problems are solved. You can communicate and mute the kids under 12.

Whats the point of speaking to people on the Wii if you mute everyone under 12?

Yes we all know the Wii is horrible for online play. But does anyone really buy the Wii for online play? Everyone knows that online play is and always will be nintendos weak point. They don't care about online play and they have shown it time and time again. If you bought the Wii expecting to get lots of play time online out of it, then shame on you for not doing your research. And if you did do your research, then you would know that it's one of the many weak points of the Wii.

I too am a pampered PC gamer and the Wii's lack of online is inexcusible. It was bad enough last-gen when the GC got no online support but this gen...c'mon Nintendo! But they'll get there (sounds kinda like "just wait" huh?)

What if you like Nintendo's first party games and want online? Buy another console?

The Wii's online feels like something from the 90s.

Friend Codes are only annoying because each game has it's own friend code... Why can't you have universal friend codes? That's what I don't understand...

Voice Chat is sorely needed... Everything else is good though... and Voice Chat isn't impossible... DS games have shown us that...
