And you must be saying MS will not lower the 360 cost? MS is already in a better position to always be a bit cheaper then PS3.
And it looks like the 360 will hit the sweet spot of cost before PS3 can. And that sweet spot is. $149-199 range.

Of course they will lower the price. But guess what? In no way does that mean the PS3 will be a failure in America. I'm an advocate of 'wait and see'. I'm not here to make sales predictions for the future. But if I had to I would say that the PS3 will eventually outsell the 360 in world wide sales over the next few years.

That would make sense, but PS3 outsold X360 last year and Blu-ray has officially won. 2007 all in all was a pretty good year for them after a lot of challenges.
I still dont buy that the PS3 outsold the 360 last year. I just dont buy it. I saw the numbers they were posting, and I just cannot believe that the PS3 made up that much of a difference throughout the rest of the world.

Thats what happens when you take statistics too seriously. The most posted numbers were NPDs and that accounts for the U.S. only. Not to mention its far from accurate missing numbers from big chains like walmart and online stores.
That's what happens when some people think that NPD = end all, be all sale figures. It's only America. The PS3 was getting such bad press in America and people must have thought it was selling horribly around the world.
