See, this is how Monster Hunter Tri should have been like. Huge open world with no loading screens every 10sec.

Oh, and if Nintendo for some reason would not release this in Europe I will not buy a single more first party Wii game.

EDIT: The music is also composed by Yoko Shimomura which is easily one of the best in the business.

Well, the name was registered in NA and i actually think its registered in EU too (i think)

Seems like the odds for an international release are pretty good.

Epic. Win.

The soundtrack is great, has an old school feel to it.And theareas are beautiful, especially the "Eruto" sea place.

But i hope those areas are big for a reason, and not unnecessarily big.

That was impressive, though it looks rather cliched for a JRPG.

i wonder if all the data needed is going to be streamed in the background (ala TP or FFCC TCB) and thus the game has no loading times...or will it be like Mh3 where there are loading times on a regular basis. either way...im not accepting that as a wii game. its not a wii game...theres no way the little white/black box can pull that off :P. seriosuly...if that all is in game and it maintains a steady framerate then that will be an astonishing technical achievement on the wii.

Every time I see more of this game I am more impressed. Just a massive and beautiful looking world with some very impressive design going on. So glad I finally decided to pick up a Wii. This looks extremely promising and I have high hopes for The Last Story as well.

It probably wouldn't happen on the PS3 or the 360. Making all that would cost just too damn much.

This may not be accurate, but I have heard it mentioned that the game world is supposed to be the size of Japan. Again, don't shoot the messenger here, I just heard this mentioned a few times. Regardless, it is obviously massive and quite beautiful artistically as well.

Here it is, along with some other good general info. The game world is indeed supposed to be roughly about the size of Japan:

Looks pretty incredible and the game seemed to be holding up nicely even with all those weather effects and endless draw distance. The animations need some work but otherwise it looks visually stellar.

Looks really good. I guess they sacrificed the character models/faces for the scale of the game -- at least I think. Also I hope theres no loading time between places like there are in Monster Hunter 3.

Do we know for sure there's no load screens every ten seconds? :P Still, that was amazing... some areas already looked far larger than FF XIII, Gran Pulse included... and now I just became interested in this game...

Some of the animation looked good on the monsters I thought, the people maybe all ran a bit too similar, but then again I noticed how fast these people were moving, and if they do move that fast, I don't mind. Kind of like FF XIII and how the animations for the characters were more exaggerated for them to run faster than normal. I don't mind that, because I HATE large overworlds and not being able to run fast enough to cover that distance quickly. I understand they may include a few ways of faster transportation, but I don't want my normal speed to be so slow either... so yeah I hope this one is like that in a sense. It looked like they climbed and ran pretty fast.

Definitely some talent behind it. I just wonder how well it plays.

It's Monolith Software developing this right? I've played a few games that were joint-produced with members of that team, and they were pretty good.

I find it hard to believe that the game world will be near the size of Japan.

Japan is near the size of California and I takes like 8 hours to drive from one end to the other.

And that is going at 60 MPH most of the way.

It would take forever to walk across that distance.

Abicus7

Their is no connection it is only named Xenoblade to honor the director of this game he was also the director of Xenogears and Xenosaga.
