I'm still just cautiously optimistic. Details released so far could make for an awesome game... ...or a heartbreaking paperweight.roxlimninteresting game we will see what happens when this gets reviewed but then again regardless of what score this game get still play it if you want.. thats like if I said if uncharted 3 came out and its the suck and scored a 2.4 I would still buy it iam 90 percent sure.
Meh, am I the only one who remember larger worlds in a 90's game like Everquest? I swear, gamers are easy to impress these days.Boomshaffted
Everquest's art design and overall visual quality is **** though.
This game has a large world and is pretty to boot.
I must have this!!!!! Dang it'll probably either never come to the States or it'll be here in a year.

How big is the world?
SgtKevali
Huge.
The developers say approximately the size of Japan.
Really?
Really.
"Takahashi actually gave a pretty specific size to the world. From one end of the god to the other (I'm not sure if he's referring to just one god or both combined), the world is about the size of Japan."
Huge.
looks like someone got his copy a bit early, 2 new gameplay videos:

NA release date at E3 please.
Nice to see someone actually trying when it comes to Wii graphics.Marka1700
Monolith is more or less Nintendo.... sooo... yeah. Very happy to see Nintendo putting effort into the graphics :P
Looks grand, certainly shows what the Wii is capable of. It is a pity that the copious amounts of crap that is released on the Wii detracts from the good. mike_on_mic
How so? Are you forced to play the crap? When you go into ther shop to buy mario galaxy 2, are you also forced to buy bratz party babez?
Ps2 was 90% utter crap, in fact the shovelware sold the most, but it didn't detract from the gems, and nintendo wii has a large library of gems now.
Xenoblade: The First 10 minutes
Xenoblade: Gameplay montage
Looks like the 2nd god can be explored as well!!!
Looks great and it isn't really spoilers because I can't understand what they are saying in the First 10 Minutes of the game.Xenoblade: The First 10 minutes

Nice cover art.
Wow the game is out already in Japan. I hope Nintendo sets a release date for NA during E3.
It seems that this title is basically the opposite of Xenosaga. I read more about it, and it seems like this will be a story (which will be good) based around gameplay, rather than gameplay based around a story. It's good to see that Nintendo is more willing to give Monolith big productions, and maybe this will mean Nintendo letting Takahashi put out a game based around a story once more. One can hope, at least.
I think I would buy a Wii for this title, but I sort of dont want to buy a new console for the sake of not buying a new console. Hm. We'll see. What's definitely true is the magic behind Xenosaga is definitely present in this title, if only a fragment. One of the trailers was very reminiscent of Ep. I and the gnosis, which means that it harkens back to the skill of Monolithsoft to craft great stories. And great stories are what the gaming industry needs.
I'm going back and forth between feeling betrayed and "do want."
Edit: "a gameplay story" ... what? I don't know what I was writing here. Fixed.

Remember, the "Xeno" title was just thrown in to celebrate the developer, no relation once so ever.
(If you start thinking of the game known by its U.S title, Monado, I doubt youll feel betrayed :P.)
Pretty stupid idea too considering the scenario writer from Gears and Saga isnt involved in this title at all (Soraya Saga). Her involvement IMO would certainly justify the "Xeno" inclusion of the title.
You can't ask someone a question, and then presume to answer it for them. That's not how it works.I don't mind the character models. Did you mind the model's in Vagrant Story? No.Kori-san

Ok.......too bad.
Look for a meaning behind the question. Maybe I was trying to make a point.
Something about the gameplay of the game seems off to me. I just don't like the combination of ff12 and pso and monsterfeeling it gives me. I'll reserve my opinion when the game is actually out.
Huh?Games looks rather poor graphically. A lot of potential though. Sometimes I wonder why SONY don't jump on titles like this and Monster Hunter. With the ower of the PS3, they'd atleast not like completely garbage

Erm, I kinda like the fact that it seems to incorporate three of the best battle systems of all time.
This game looks amazing, I can't wait :)

I know that, thats kind of why it upsets me. The fact that the name can be just thrown around renders it meaningless. Xenogears and Xenosaga were both highly ambitious projects to me that were never able to be realized. It almost feels like good things can't be successful and Xenogears and Xenosaga are a lesson to companies who would otherwise want to start ambitious projects.
If I get a Wii it'll probably be in Japanese, because I don't want to deal with nintendo locking up my system. And I'll get over it, but recently I've just been reading about Xenogears, Xenosaga, and it's painted a pretty pitiful future for gaming.
Soraya Saga cowrote things with her husband. Even if she's not a cowriter ... she might be a cowriter at home, if you know what i mean.

Its kinda sad that Monolith is one of the few companies that really enjoys making these ambitious projects.
Im playing Xenoblade now and its so sad that its a huge breathe of fresh air. Really says something about the current JRPG market.

Wanna elaborate on that? You mean the whole ambitious undertaking thinG?
