They're largely the same. Stop being a moron, TC. You consistently post this image, get called out every time, and now you come back and post a thread based around your idiotic image? Jesus.
Is anybody willing to debate this fool this time for that long this time around?
I had to check if this was a necro thread or that a black cat hadn't just passed me twice!
Didn't the OP embarrass himself with this a few weeks back?
Discord, PC wins.
PC has discord.
PC wins.
discord is part of the problem.. when someone thinks ventrilo, teamspeak, skype can't solve an issue create more tools to fracture the community more... and all these external tools have their own problem sitting outside of the game so its a more isolated experience. Granted... there are a lot of children on consoles... so maybe it has a use?
Of course it is, where is discord when I play a steam game, does it tell me what the recent players are, does it connect me automatically with players I meet in a game with messaging, voice and video apps.
You could say within steam it does all that but the example above (which half of posters here probably didn't read) just proves it again that steam doesn't provide the same quality of service. Not to mention steam is missing a lot of big names.
Then they say they embarrassed me another thread and call me fool lmao. A thread that wasn't even about this picture.
@commander: Actually, I seem to have lots of help around here good sir. It's you who could use some help.
I wonder where Ronbot is with his random nonsense comment that you'll interpret as support?

I only posted it a couple of times before and I thought it was fitting here (with the problems I encountered by playing magic duels on the pc instead of the xbox)

I wasn't referring to that kind of help lol.
I need help? oh but I have help, maybe you should read the whole thread and don't forget about the context lmao.
@commander: Oh, you meant mental help.
Well yes, I probably do. Doesn't mean I'm wrong though :D
No it doesn't but you having more people that support you doesn't mean that you are right either, especially when we're talking about straight up facts.
have you actually read the OP?
You bring that shit up every once in a while and try to get a rise out of PC gamers which is the textbook definition of trolling. Yes I read your low trollbait OP.
Not being able to properly communicate in a game is not trollbait
Not being able to properly communicate in a game is not trollbait
Lying about it is, like in your image.
I know you're mad that PC is first place in online gaming, but do not spread lies and troll.
oh yeah, and what exactly is a lie in that fictional dialogue?
I think gaming platforms on the PC, Steam, Origin, Uplay whatever are just too different and some games available on one may not be available on another. Obviously the upside is that game prices are great! GOG, Steam, Humble all doing their bit, which would not be possible with a single, central platform.
@commander:
Steam has great games, what big names is it missing that matter anyways?
fifa series and battlefield series, world of tanks,
Its a blessing, personally id rather not have anybody and everybody screaming down their mic at me. Keep that shit on consoles.
you can mute people easily, you can even mute all chat audio quite easily
Don't listen to these mean PC elitists Commander. I believe in you and your 1990s arguments.
There have been live streams where people had similar problems like in that picture, and the problems with magic duels (and a ton of other games where you don't have list with recent players) are a real thing. The fact that people use voice chat with random people a lot more on the console is a thing too.
The 1990's? really, That's the playstation 1 era. I didn't know voice chat over the internet and interconnected game platforms was a thing back then. I remember still using dial up and waiting full minutes for a site to load. I could play unreal and halflife though, the pc was actually a much better platform (compared to the consoles) back then.
Yeah, you're right and as proof, the pee sea DC is making it smell very nerdy in here. lol
Mighty X1X, the new master race baby!!! :P
Just completely ignore all the chat programs on PC that consoles don't have.
Oh, the sweet irony. He's not ignoring it. He's saying that it's part of the problem. I won't claim that this thread isn't stupid but people using dozens of different programs for the same purpose DOES fracture the user base. It's really silly to deny that. And it has always been annoying. "You got ICQ?" - "Nah, I use MSN." - "Aww, what about Yahoo Messenger?" turned into "Let's get on Teamspeak." - "Skype is better." - "I only use Ventrilo!" And don't even get me started on the hundred different phone apps you have to use if you want to stay in contact with everybody you know. Having one central communication system for everybody has advantages. No need to play it down. Of course it's also a disadvantage that you don't have any options to use something different but all in all... your reading comprehension is underwhelming.
Its a blessing, personally id rather not have anybody and everybody screaming down their mic at me. Keep that shit on consoles.
Yeah, it's much better to have anybody and everybody insult you quickly by text chat with their keyboards after you muted them.
Not being able to communicate properly in a game is not trollbait
Whatever you say.
I just tried to send a message to a teammate in magic duels, and I wrote his name down. I did shift tab, add friend, typed in his name and got 1000+ results, his name not being on the first pages, the convenience lmao
@commander: You've literally become known for posting the image. It's obviously something you just can't get over.
Then that happened very quickly, I only posted it a couple of times.
and it was fitting with the OP, so I posted it.
Obviously some people can't get over it, but it's not me.
@nethernova: Well of course it is. Hearing someone screaming profanity is obviously more noticeable than text.
My daughter likes to watch me play games and its not ideal having her listen to juvenile, snotty nosed adolescents screaming about raping my mother just because I played better than them. Having a personal invite only community in voice chat is much more convenient as it eliminates this and the frustration of having to put up with random idiots and people that cant take loosing.
All the people in my gaming circle are on Discord, I can chat to them in or out of a game and not have to put up with imbeciles. If I play a substantial amount of games with someone online and that person seems ok then Ill invite them to that circle. Its so easy to do.
Why wait for a reason to mute? Its already too late, ill just prevent it happening in the first place -because I can.

If you're in a party on the console you don't hear in game voice chat either. There's even a setting you can to have in game voice chat muted all the time. Heck, the consoles come with a single ear headset that split chat audio from in game audio.
and this was pretty much standard on the x360 already back in 2005-2006.
How so? I have a friends list on Steam and I can right-click and join their game. If I need to chat just press Shift+Tab. Start voice chat by clicking a button. Plenty of split screen games. Lots of options so my friends can use whatever controller they like.
I'd say it's superior to the console experience. Plus consoles just suck so you have to deal with that.
I swear, TC, you must have less sense than a bag of hammers.

Forgive me for being so blunt, but you don't know what the hell you're talking about. Have you even read the OP?

No I didn't read it. I saw that stupid image again and figured the OP contained the same level of ignorance.
Console is best when you have friends over for some split screen fun
PC is better for when you are alone after work....
Didn't you make the same thread a while ago?
Yeah, then he deleted it. And he's spammed the same image a few times
look it's the troll brigade
Imagine being 40 years old and having to spend time posting garbage on a forum to feel better about the fact your system of choice is shit because you are emotionally invested and can't handle the simple complexity or trivial hardware cost of a decent PC.
They teach PC usage to young children now, some of them are probably outdoing you.
That image is still as ridiculous as last time.
And most PC gamers I have met with use Discord, and those that don't have it installed in no time anyways.
Good jokes are laughed with, not laughed at.
Well it has been a bloody long time before someone played the 'I'm offended' card.

What ignorance, the list goes on. I just found out I have to add someone as a friend on steam to send'em a message lmao
@commander: well yes, otherwise one would get so much salt and bot spam it would be insane.
Did you ever consider looking up some magic the gathering forums, and finding people to invite that way?

Salt isn't bad for everyone, I love salt . Bot spam can easily be solved, for instance you don't receive messages from anyone that isn't in your recent players list the last hour or so. But for that you need a working recent players list of course. The fact is that the whole steam platform feels cheap and incomplete compared to the xbox and playstation platform.
Why would I need to go to the forums, It's not that I don't find any players to play with, it's that there's no decent in game communication platform..
So, just one game, and it's a problem for the whole system?
This is a new low.
this isn't the only game and it doesn't change the fact that a lot of people don't have mics either.

@commander: You're just blowing this out of proportion. This is literally a non-problem for the platform. PC has chat tools other than mics (keyboards are a thing).
As for the game, yeah, I dunno. Magic's the only game I know that doesn't show who you've recently played with. Honestly, all of the multiplayer games I've played on steam and origin never gave me this problem. Finding friends is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

so your argument is that you have keyboards? hardly the same thing is it
Magic doesn't seem to be the only game, when googling it games like dawn of war III and counterstrike came up and I don't think the list will end there.
Besides even if you do have a recent players list, you have to add them as a friend before you can send a message, or there has to be an in game feature for it.
I haven't met a single game on the xbox where I encounter these kind of problems.
Wow splitscreen. <---not played since N64. It's 2017, where is this caveman at that's still split screening?
Though I don't play MP games at all anymore, I remember back in the BF 3 days on PC, I never heard anyone use a mic and actually talk. I always thought it was cool that if you used Creative's software, you could use their voice altering options to make yourself sound like different people like an old lady or whatever.
PC gamers should have plenty of mic's. Some come free with your motherboard. I still have a Creative dual mic that mounts to your TV. Most every gaming headset you buy has a built in mic. Many gaming keyboards come with a mic input. Most every modern gaming PC has bluetooth. I don't even play MP anymore and I have several mics....how the hell does no one have a mic?
