but I don't want to exclude them, where did I say that? all I'm trying to do, is figure out why they're getting so much more weight this generation than they did before, I'm not spinning anything, the only thing that kinda bothers me is the fact that they are now using them to cover up the lack of AAAE's.

Since I don't own a gaming PC or a Wii, the PS3 won this year for me no doubt, just like last year. I'd rather take 4 full game AAAEs than an overpriced AAAE expansion, a very good AAAE expansion and a full game AAAE.

My personal tally, on the "big exclusives" would be PC(10) - Wii(9) - PS3(5) - 360(3)

This based on 8.0 or better exclusives that aren't expansions or downloadable only games. Those are what I would personally compare.

THIS THREAD IS ABOUT EXCLUSIVES

2009 is pretty much over and nothing is really gonna change much so I don't want to hear that "let's wait till the year is over" BS. The consoles did pretty well for themselves. The PC was also great.

In terms of exclusives, the systems did pretty well. Well, that's not actually completely true. The PS3 and 360 were pretty "lackluster" for the most part. But, you know, they did ok. The big boy consoles just didn't do as well as some people would have you believe. Especially, when compared to some other systems.

Where am I going with this? What is this thread about? Well, I pretty much said it in that last paragraph. More specifically, the last two sentences. Now, I don't feel like going into the numbers game because the spreadsheet is not readily available at the moment, but the PS3 and the 360 but particularly the former did not do as well as some here would have you believe. Throughout 2009, those two consoles have gotten their butts kicked 5 ways to Sunday by the PC.................... and the Wii.

Anyways, the PC won this year. The Wii came in second. After the Wii is the PS3. Then, there is the 360. Fact, not fiction.

Quite frankly, everyone should know this but whatevs.
Hopefully, everyone is now educated. Actually, I might have to school SW on more topics so stay tuned.

Not realy. Sims 3 AAA, and a bucketload of AA and A titles since PC is easy to develop for and loads of avrage (6-8 range) come out from indy or startup devs.

I'd (probably alot of people too) would rather have 5 AAA titles then 20 AA/A titles...

And stop looking at things like a robot, the Wii had a horrible year. Most people rather have 5AAA games over 10AA games, especially when your talking about exclusives and you still have multiplats that can wbe weighed in. The PS3 crushed the Wii this year, it got a WAY better library. You can try to twist the rules and put in guidelines and special rules to help the Wii win, but no, everyone knows the PS3 had a way stronger year.

Your counting is incorrect. Because you arent counting ALL OF THE GAMES that you can play on the PS3 that you cant play on the Wii.

The Wii has beaten the PS3 simply due to common sense. Whatever goggles you are wearing that hides this fact must be removed.

Your counting is incorrect. Because you arent counting ALL OF THE GAMES that you can play on the PS3 that you cant play on the Wii.

And even if the PS3 only had six games that came out this year that were AAAE's, that would be better playing them then 21 crappy games!!!:P
