My goodness. Just look at those lemmings tearing up that poor OP into pieces. Since when did numbers > percentages? That's like saying quantity > quality. You guys DO understand that this means 360 has more crappier games? It's interesting that you guys are completely ignoring that point.masterflame10

Please tell me you don't need someone to explain why a percentage of good vs bad games is a useless stat?!:?

[QUOTE="my_name_is_ron"] jesus, we're getting nowhere. yes, 360 has more games and more highly rated games. but a higher percentage of ps3's games are rated 8.0 or more meaning that if you were to randomly choose a ps3 title it stands a higher chance of you enjoying it. of course 360 has more 8.0 titles but add them to the 235 other games rated 8.0 or less and you have a smaller chance of picking out a 8.0 game, of course in real life you'd expect people to not just walk into a store and pick anything but you'd be suprised how many people decide what games they want by the picture on the caseJIT93

its nice to see that in numbers... but its kinda useless since nobody does that in reality

Yes they do. The casual gamer sometimes does that, and don't forget the parent's for the kid's bday present/Christmas, etc.

im sorry, so for the 1% that does that.... they are better off

good parents try to find out what the kids like, bad parents dont... so this proves that bad parents are better off with the ps3 :P

And I think uninformed parents who have no idea what they're looking for ask employees at the stores they are going to about what to buy. Those employees are reasonably informed, and they still end up avoiding the really crappy games... Hence ratio is still useless for a *vast* majority of the game buying public.

i think uninformed parents go more for bundles which mainly consist of cut price bargain games that aren't considered good. but then again as someone said earlier it's entirely subjective and really up to the opinions and tastes of the purchaser rather than the statistics from one website. as for the person who said there was an alarming amount of spin in this thread i ask where? all i've stated is the facts from this site. whether they're sound or not is entirely up to the reader and of course they should be taken with a pinch of salt because in an entirely opinion based area of entertainment fllinging numbers around never proves a point, which is why system wars is an ongoing, endless waste of time.
