Going to get the game when it's cheaper. Has nothing to do with the score. It's a game I wouldn't shell out $60 for it.

It still boggles my mind that so many people think anything less than an 8 or 9 is "punishment", or a "flop", or a "bad score", just because some other site gave one number higher. The stupidity is overwhelming, to the point that I need to just stop reading to keep my blood pressure under control. WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH YOU MORONS?

I thought the same thing but oh well, reviews are opinionated. As for me, I'm a fan of South Park so I'll enjoy it no matter what. It was the same for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst, it got a 5 but I still enjoyed the game and I didn't resort to leaving any negative comments on the review nor bitching about it on the forums.

This game deserves a 8.5/10 because it is funny as ****. Sure it's not the best RPG game ever, but it's still funny when hobos throw bottles at you and do bleeding damage :).

This is a game where the reviewers opinion clearly shines through. Because all of the reviews say the same thing. And yet it get's different scores.

i loved the older seasons of southpark but the newer seasons are generally meh imo....... so i'll just get it when it's really cheap

Honestly, I'd probably rate it 7/10 as well.

It's still the only game I stayed up all night for, in years.

The game has flaws but thrives with them to the extent, that it relies on them.

I.E. You have to like JRPGs or be able to get past that fact.

Same. I mean I am really enjoying it because I'm a South park fan but judging it as a game solely and on its RPG mechanics there's really not a whole lot to it

Quests are by the books and can be quite tedious. Far too many "collect X of these" and the game is super duper easy. I am carrying a warehouse amount of items too doubling up on some and I'm not even halfway through the game

True, if you're not a South Park fan, I can't see any reason for gamers to buy it. I'm not a huge South Park fan, but I did watch the first 3 seasons. I also saw the movie, which was great. Team America was hilarious as well. Saw it with my wife and we were both laughing so hard at the sex scene that we almost fell out of our seats. Funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

I'm loving the game so far. A lot of funny one liners. The inventory and equipment is a little baffling at times. The weapons of strength points, but the armor seems to have levels and attributes to increase health, defense, PP or effects. It also seems like you can wear anything as long as you have the right level. I haven't read the manual yet, so maybe more details are in there.

I still feel it's the best it could have been.

the gameplay is more Paper Mario than JRPG, which is a detriment IMO. That being said, I don't see how they could have fleshed out the combat mechanics without including obnoxious padding.

At the end of the day, it's a great credit to the game, that I crave something 4 times longer.

Understandable, mostly only little kids and manchildren think South Park is extremely funny. For everyone else it's sort of just lowest-common-denominator, bottom of the bag, low brow humor.

I think the score GS gave it is okay. The only really good thing about the game is that it's basically a really long South Park episode. The game itself is basically like a western made JRPG and it's hardly good at that.

what do you mean? Southpark was hyped for it's story, was there really anyone expecting a super gameplay with innovative game mechanics? lol... everybody knew what south park game would be like.
To me it ain't a flop, not even close to call it flop.

Seriously gamespot are total joke this point.This keeps happening.The game is amazing. So much effort went in to it its ridiculous.The attention to detail is insane.Its actaully better the the last few seasons of SP imo.The gameplay is great even if its a bit simple.Lots of fun. Also its by far the funniest game ever made and this might sound super biased from a SP fan but it actaully is. Mokey island ? Brutal legend ? Not even close. (and yes I've played them).

7 is more than fair, I quit after 2 hours. Gameplay is horrid, beyond horrid.
