Zelda won? just goes to show how unrepresentative of the bigger picture our little cult here is. Zelda wouldn't be anywhere close in reality.(not saying its a bad thing.)

Which reality ? Also wasnt the forum that voted for Zelda ?
@charizard1605: Ah, ok. So it's more in a game direction sense rather than story and all that. Cool. Question: weren't 3D Zeldas already like that though? Non-linear?
Oh Jesus Christ, no. They got more and more and more linear as time went by, until Skyward Sword was basically a corridor game, and Spirit Tracks was, quite literally, on rails. The exception to this would be Wind Waker, I guess, but even Wind Waker had gated progression.
What about TT?
Twilight Princess had a world map, but progression was highly guided and linear. Basically, unless you had done what the game had wanted you to do, you were pretty limited in what you could do. it was a more restrictive version of Ocarina.
I guess... But I wouldn't say linearity is necessarily a bad thing imo.
TP*
While you are qualifying it with "for me," this doesn't make sense to me. What has always made Zelda unique was the intricate dungeon designs that have this beautifully clever structure. Zelda dungeons have always been very dense with ideas; Skyrim dungeons don't have these qualities whatsoever.
On the other hand, Zelda overworlds, while having a lot of character and secrets, are rather small and limited in nearly all the Zelda games and don't really have any resemblance to Skyrim.
While Skyward Sword did go too far in the direction of being linear, it has far more resemblance to what is considered to be Zelda at its prime than Skyrim does. Skyward Sword's dungeons, which are among the most clever in the series (Sandship and Ancient Cistern anyone?), alone make it a better Zelda than Skyrim IMO.
Out of the list the only 3 im not that hyped up about is witcher 3 since iv never played 1 or 2. batman cause feel kinda burnt out on it as of late and no mans sky simply cause I still dont know wtf is that game.
10. No Man's Sky - Couldn't care less about. The game looks like the next Spore.
09. Xenoblade Chronicles X - Will get because I'm starved for new JRPGs. Looks decent.
08. Final Fantasy XV - Looks great but I'm cautiously optimistic.
07. Persona 5 - Meh.Please fix the garbage dungeon crawling and combat.
06. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Meh.
05. Batman: Arkham Knight - HNGHHHH. Get hyped.
04. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - No thanks, first two are the most overhyped RPGs in forever.
03. Bloodborne - HYPE!!!! Can't fucking wait.
02. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - HYPE!!!!!!!!! Day fucking one PUT IT IN MY VEINSSS
01. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U) - Meh.
I would have voted for that new fire emblem had it been announed earlier.. (my second favorite franchise behind Zelda)
Great pricks, SW! :)
Didn't vote but most excited for arguablythe top two biggest games of the year. Uncharted 4 and Metal Gear Solid V.

What? Zelda is a massively popular series. I'd expect similar results in any gaming forum.

Meanwhile it will struggle to get an attach rate of even half of the Wii-Us out there... which isn't many. so no, compared to other franchises... zelda is not "the biggest" anymore by a longshot. I reckon it will sell 2 million tops... and won't touch Mario Kart's success. let alone half the games this year. (E.G final fantasy 15, cod, whaterver.)
Impressive list really. An astounding amount of impressive looking games to look forward to and that doesn't include the surprise games with quality that will be releasing throughout the year.
Best for people who own a PS4 who get the most anticipated games, great for people who own high end PCs for superior versions of multiplats like MGS4 and really good for people who own a Wii U for the most anticipated exclusive.
Since this is System Wars it's good to quantify the values of each system by the votes for games coming out on each one. Since this poll was conducted for the whole of SW it can be considered an objective general opinion for the values of games coming out in 2015 and Char did a good job of classification.
Xenoblade!! I am very excited for Zelda, but I am all about Xeno games ever since Xenogears on Ps1.
I would slap Link in his silly stupid looking elf face to get to dat Xenoblade X!
I didn't get a chance to vote but for me it's MGSV and Zelda U. Everything else is just icing on the cake.
I hope people aren't expecting Final Fantasy XV to make 2015.
My personal top 3:
Got no complaints because a mixture of opinions isn't going to influence what I most look forward to. Witcher 3, Arkham knight, Halo 5, hopefully QB, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, Zelda

On the other hand....is Zelda even suppose to come out this year?
Most of these games aren't supposed to come out this year
-Zelda didn't make it this year
-Arkham Knight was a choke job
-Uncharted 4 isn't this year
-Persona 5 probably isn't this year
-FF15 might not even be good, much less the part where it might come out next year
-Xenoblade early impressions sound massively boring
-No Man Sky looks destined to spore it up.
Good job SW.
