SYSTEM WARS MOST ANTICIPATED GAME OF 2016
System Wars- 2015 is behind us now. It was a great year for video games, and every single platform got multiple incredible titles to enjoy. 2015 was the year when this new generation of video games finally came into its own, and we finally got a taste of the kinds of games that are truly possible on this new batch of consoles.
And yet, 2016 looks better.
From every standpoint, 2016 is stacked- no matter what system your allegiances lie with, it seems that 2016 will give you something worth your while to play. AAA games, indie games, western titles, Japanese titles, first party games, third party games, and everything in between- you name it, 2016 has it. It truly looks like it will go down as the landmark year for this generation of video games.
But which of these games is System Wars looking forward to the most?
It's time decide that!
And how will we do that? Well, we'll be using the old System Wars Votes format for this. Here's how it will go:
- Nominate five games for Most Anticipated Game of 2016. Make sure your nominations are in order. The first game you nominate gets 50 points. The second game gets 40 points. The third game gets 30 points. The fourth and fifth games get 20 and 10 points respectively. The order you list your most anticipated games in is, therefore, very important.
- You can list up to five games. You are allowed to list less than five games, should you want to. If you list more than five games, then any game beyond the first five you listed will not be counted, and the first five games will be scored according to the order they were listed in.
- Any game announced for release in 2016 in at least one territory counts. As long as a game has been announced with an explicit 2016 release date in Japan, Europe, or North America, you can go ahead and nominate it.
- Games that don't have any release dates attached to them don't qualify- don't vote for them. So, games like Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ni no Kuni 2, Etrian Odyssey V, what have you- don't nominate these ones. They don't have an official 2016 release date.
- Don't nominate games that have not been announced officially. This may seem obvious, but in an industry with so many annual games, it's a point worth making. You might really be looking forward to the new Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, or FIFA game, but none of them have been officially announced yet- so don't nominate them, or you're just making stuff up.
- You can only nominate a single game once. I can't believe I have to say this, but there you go.
- Please don't nominate DLC. Yes, I know that nominating the next bit of Destiny DLC may be tempting, but that's not really a game- stop treating it as one.
- You may list re-releases. Any remaster or re-release that is slated to release at retail, such as Gravity Rush Remastered or The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, qualifies.
- An account must be 90 days old, OR have a post count of 100, to be eligible for participation in this contest.
- You have until 11.59pm Central Time on December 31, 2015 to get your votes in. Until this period of time, you are free to edit your votes as many times as you want to.
Got it? Awesome, let's get down to it then!
