I imagine a lot of these nominated games will be 2017, but I won't consider that with my list since it seems no one else is. (Hell, since Zelda won last year and I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't hit in 2016 either)

I find it very interesting that 7 games in the Top 10 are RPGs- 8, if we count Zelda (on a general level at the very least).

System Wars really likes its RPGs.

Also, five of the games nominated in the Top 10 are Japanese games- so much for the death and irrelevance of the Japanese market.

lol this happens when ever there is a top ten all time game list or a best current games of the generation list is made.

If people aren't specifically told it's East against West they unconsciously think of the best games they've played and this is the "agenda" free result every time

The number of high profile Japanese games would not be any different if we made a current (as in released now) top ten games of the gen going by critical acclaim. This fact is highlighted by the reality that there are already 2 10.0 Japanese games released this gen.

In the top 5 best games of the year nominated GS for GOTY, 3 of them are japanese. Yeah, people who were on that Japan doesn't matter bandwagon earlier this gen look real silly especially going into 2016

Reading some posts and LOL. The importance some are putting on how many are Japanese or not for that matter. Ok, so this is the be all end all list of Most wanted games? Are we forgetting this forum has very little bearing on the actual wants and purchases of the consumer market? Its all good to see what the aggregate of SW is but take it with a grain of salt. SW claims to COD is shit but the majority of the consumer market keeps it on top.

1. Mass Erect 4 (began praying months ago for this thing to be what it should be. A non linear experience with lots and lots of abilities per class *good build variety* and being able to play/explore the whole campaign in co-op with 1 more player *not 4 player coop crap, just one more player*).
