Halo 3 + Mass Effect should be out befvore the summer drought.martin_fi thought both of those games come out in fall.
I got my 360 last November and so far I'm very happy with my purchase. I have two XBOX live arcade titles. Gears of War was the best co-op since Contra III on SNES. Dead Rising was so unique and the in game clock really got me nervous at times. It was surprisingly epic and very original. I also got Burnout Revenge for free and DOA4 for christmas from my bro, both really fun titles.
I still want to get Kameo and Viva Pinata and perhaps later on I'll get Lost Planet.
I own both too..
Wii: E3 2006 got hyped in a huge way. I thought it was the future of gaming. Unfortunately, the actualy system hasn't quite lived up to the hype for me.
During Wii sports, I found the controller to be less than perfect. It was fun, but the movements felt sloppy. Sometimes the game would outright ignore my movements.
Zelda was fun for a while, but somehow I lost interest. I felt like I was playing it because I had to since it was great game, rather than having to play it because I was amazed with its greatness. As a 360 owner I thought Zelda looked beautiful but wished it had a higer resolution in the worst way.
Elebits was fun too, but only in short bursts.
I'm now waiting for MP3, Mario Galaxy and Super Paper Mario in the worst way. At this point, I have no interest in any other games for the system.
That's not to say the I don't play with the Wii at all. I love the Virtual Console and have spent a lot of time playing old classics I didn't get a chance to when I was younger. I think the Wii Vote channel and internet browser are fun too.
I've also had 2 Wii's die on me in about a 2 month span. Nintendo sent me a new system within 2 days but my downloaded VC games were nontrasferable. I could have kept them, but it would mean having to wait a few weeks for a new Wii.
Xbox 360
I've owned the 360 since July. I bought it in anticipation for Dead Rising with Oblivion and Burnout Revenge to keep me busy until then. Very quickly I started collecting a large library of games, loving several of them. At first I only played offline, but I finally joined Xbox live. I play Rainbow Six Vegas, Lost Planet and Gears of War constantly now. Once in a while I still play Viva Pinata. If Viva let me share my garden with people on Xbox live it would be my favorite game.
The graphics are beautiful. I own a standard definition television. I made the mistake of playing the 360 on an HD television and was blown away. I need an HD now. I'll get one eventually. The higher resolution of the 360 is still very apparent compared to the Wii in standard Def.
I can wait for Mass Effect and Bioshock. Halo 3 should be fun. I can't also help but look forward for Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon year. Next year I'm hoping RE5 will rock my world. RE4 was my favorite game last generation.
I've had no hardware issues.
You want me to weed out "the crap" for you?I agree with the games, but... I hear the mini games in Monkey Ball are crap. Monkey Ball is the only one of those I haven't played myself. I've only played Excite Truck at the EBgames... maybe I should rent that...
Elebits, Trauma Center, Madden, Rayman, Monkey Ball, Excite Truck [for some reason I think it is superb] and Warioware. There are 7 great games. Do what you will with them. Rent/buy... whatever suits your fancy. I suggest rent for all.

Wii:Im glad i like more types of games than you. WSB2k7, Crackdown, Virtua Tennis 3, Ghost Recon AW2 will keep me more than busy untill Foza, and then Sega Rally, Mass Efeefct, Bio Shock and Blue Dragon in the summer. Also according to EB games and little game called Huxley is due soon too. For Wii, i see SSX Blur, Day of Disaster and a couple of others.
I just got my Wii so I'm happy playing zelda and wii sports. However, after that I don't know if I want any of the crap games out there. There is so much garbage on the Wii it's hard to weed out the bad titles. The VC games are cool but most of the ones that have released, I played to death when I was young. Most of the great games are far off from release.
360.
I'm not exactly jumping for joy on the 360 side at the moment either. I know later on this year I'll be thrilled but now it's just blah. I don't care for Graw 2, although I will be buying Crackdown today. I don't see another good game coming out until forza 2 sometime this spring. It's the start of summer droughts although the 360 looks to start thriving in the summer.

Wii:I don't have a 360, so I can't vouch for any games. With the Wii, however, I can recommend a couple. When everyone else complained about the Zelda: TP review, I felt Excite Truck was badly underrated. This is the best arcade racing experience I've had in years. Read the user posted comments on metacritic.com. Elebits is also a very fun game that makes excellent use of the Wii Remote (it can be ridiculously difficult if you're looking for a challenge). A lot of people like Rayman, but I wasn't too thrilled with it - it was alright.
