Besides TV differences between those two shots, didn't Bungie specifically say that the trailer was all pre-rendered?

no it was running from their Halo 3 in-game engine. This is what they are aiming for (after they put in all teh code, AI, enemies, graphics, etc)

I am very disappointed with the graphics for halo 3 I hope the gameplay has improved alot. You would think it would look as good as gears after all this time but it's a beta so I will reserve judgement till later.BrooklynBomber

That statment sucks look at gears of war. The question should instead be if any DEV will be able to come up to the same

graphic standard as Epic. Because if you look at all xbox360 games that has come out aren't ven close to Gears of war.

why care about sales?  i do own some stock,  alot of people own ms stock.  but thats irrelivant to me on careing about sales.  you are on the right track tho that money is involved.  you know who really cares about sales?  publishers and developers.  without game sales they are homeless and hungry.  when they see one system has alot of million selling titles they know that platform has profit potential.  a platform without many million selling games is going to be far less profitable.  they like money,  and the more the better in their openion.  they would rather drive a ferrari than a ford if they can. 

did you notice the games sony thought were exclusive that went to the 360 after gears sales?  other publishers noticed.  they want some of that money too.  record setting sales means the 360 will get more games.  it takes alot of work to make a great game,  and they are going to want to be greatly rewarded.  they are going to want to release the best games on the 360 to make the most money off them.  so higher 360 software sales = more and better games on the 360 for me.  if i want assasins creed, dmc4, or ut 3 on the 360 i can get them,  because they noticed the sales of other games.  now thats a reason to care.  i can get all the games i want on one console.  and for the price of a ps3 i can get alot more games.

ati's 2900 is suposed to be out later this month  so soon i'll be buying a new pc,  and playing on it as well.  so that'll include all the shooters you think i'm gonna niss other than halo3.

halo may have been big when it just cam out but now its not hard to copy, R:FOM only was let down becouse it was nothing new. what can halo 3 bring? people will buy it just becouse of the word halo, like gta.
