Killzone 3 the Standard Bearer

looks boring

how many times are you going to make this thread...you keep making the same one but you change the title.....listen the majority of gamers can in some way respect Killzone 3, it does alot of good things....in fact it does alot of great things! But, with all due respect, there isa difference betweena game being superb and a game being a game changing, revolutionary, generation defining one.....Killzone is not that, it just doesnt do enough, it is superb but will not go down in history, u know? Even if u dont like them more, games like Halo and Modern Warfare have done more to be generation defining, and games like the Battlefield franchise have received much more praise than the Killzone franchise has. Killzone is great, just not number one

ur personal opinion is all that should matter to you, but u should be aware that to the rest of the world killzone is not unanimously agreed to be the best thing to ever happen to fps genre. Whether by average opinion or fact, there is no proof to make a claim that killozone is king and expect people to take that as a fact, people can respect your opinion though, there is nothing wrong with that.

Does there have to be a thread or more everyday about how great KZ3 is? Who are you trying to convince? Us or yourself?

I'm a graphics whore and I think the phrase "graphics don't make a game" applies in full in this situation. I've heard from several close friends who said the game is garbage other than the graphics.

Not just in terms of graphics but in MP as well. SP is good...though nowhere near as longetivity as MP, which is pretty incredible. Everything KZ2 was and more. Definitely the top shooter out there now.

It's middle of the line in terms of shooting. Battlefield spanks it in all areas and even Call of Duty's controls are less clunky. Pretty common belief around here.

It's funny, no shooter this gen can match one that came out in 2005 for single player.

Any guesses on that shooter?

F.E.A.R. for the PC. Nothing beats that game for single player shooters. The atmosphere was intense, the story was actually good, the gunplay was probably the tightest ever seen in a video game to that point, the slo-motion mechanic was excellent, the graphics (especially the lighting and destruction of the enviroment) were amazing (but haven't really stood the test of time), and the AI has still not been matched in terms of exellence.

The only real flaw of the whole thing was the the lack of a variety of enemies, but you quickly forgot about that when you realized that they were flanking you from both sides while putting fire down on you from the center and flushing you into the open with greades.
