How can you not like the Vita? Beautiful hardware, a ton of games (Vita, PSP, PS1), touch controls, twin sticks, online functionality, cross play, remote play, PS Now. Just get one already!

The hardware of the Sony handhelds have always looked good with good build quality to match. I still love the build quality of my old PSP 1000.
It is a nice handheld and likely does have some quality titles. Never really felt inclined to buy one due to the absurd memory card prices and the fact that I am more concerned with buying a PS4 than I am Vita.
It's a solid little device but it really doens't have the support it needs. The most fun I've gotten out of it are ports from other systems
Getting mine in March hopefully. Hoping there's also some OLED machines left as apparently the OLED is worth every penny to avoid getting one of the new ones with the LCD screens. Given that the new batch are flowing in hopefully OLEDs will be seen as inferior models and price cut accordingly.
... those ridiculous memory cards and lack of exclusives is a turn off. ...
I really enjoy my Vita, but I agree with these two points.
Oh well, I have quite the backlog on the thing to work through so I haven't really needed to purchase extra memory cards or new (exclusive) games.

Same here, and the Vita 1000 looks a lot like the PSP 1000 does. They both have this grey line across the device.
Isn't it though? Ive had a vita since launch, and love it. Got a good stable of games, psp ones, its a great handheld.
I got the Vita with the Killzone Mercanary bundle and its a superb piece of hardware. I find it hard to put down most of the time!
My only gripes with it are also the memory cards and the fact that you can only have one profile per card. Seems unnecessary and switching them out and having to format the system can be a pain in the ass. Still though id highly recommend it too anyone thinking of getting one. Some great games and remote play is brilliant.
It needs way more exclusive IPs for me to be buy one. I'm tired of seeing all these shared games with the PS3 and Sony advertising remote play all the time. That's not going to make me buy one.
Not enough games that I want, overpriced system, and overpriced memory cards. That's all the reason I need to avoid it at this time.

You can get a 16gb memory card for $30 - how is that overpriced? And $199.99 for the Vita is pretty fair. I would've agreed with you like a year ago, but now I think it's alright.

Dude, that is stupidly overpriced, especially compared to SD card prices for equivalent memory.
I mean, I love my Vita. but don't act like the Memory Cards aren't a glorified scam

Maybe it's because I remember when memory cards (in general) were MUCH more expensive. I will say the price of the 32gb is horrible.
@mrintro: 16 gb for 30 is a rip off. I dont have a vita because I find handheld consoles lacking. Im not going to use it when I go out, and when at home I have psŕ an 3, xbone, 360, wiiu and pc to play. I dont see the point. Besides, most of its best games are ports.
it really is an amazing handheld. PS plus is amazing, but I think the memory card prices still turn consumers off so much
Honestly the only reason to have a Vita is for Person 4 Golden, Soul Sacrifice and MH4, other than that it's a meh HH that needs some fraking games.

And 32GB is what I would want if I was to get a Vita. The games through PS+ alone would fill up anything smaller, then there is anything I actually buy off PSN. And I would buy a lot off PSN. Got a lot of PSP games I wish to play.
This is the main reason I hesitated to pick one up. Ended up getting one for christmas and I've been thoroughly impressed since I've got it. It came with 4 games and playstation plus has made it so I haven't had to purchase a single game since picking it up (outside of killzone mercenaries which I got on sale). On top of that, some of my games on the ps3 transferred over to the vita
Picked up a 32gb memory card on sale for $50 dollars which has plenty of space. So... including the cost of the memory card, ps+ and killzone, I have 19 vita games to play for $120 and will continue to get free games over the next year. Its been well worth the money I spent on it, honestly.
I like the Vita, my main problem with it are those damn expensive memory cards. I'm not buying it until they lower the price on those things.
Vita redefines the word PORTable.
I was going to pick one up but saw that it only sold 25k in NA last month. I just don't see a lot of support for it in NA in the future. It's probably gonna get a whole lot of indie ports which isn't a bad thing but I can play those on other systems.
It is a good looking handheld, and feels quite goods in the hands. Its too bad theres no reason to ever hang on to it though.
Some people defend the thing like warriors, but theres many reasons why its not selling. Can't tell me otherwise.

Have YOU actually played the system? have YOU tried out the games?
I have played the Vita before, but none of the games gave me reason to acually buy. Pkus the memory card price foolishness
PS vita is a system to be reckoned with. Soul sacrifice is still an amazing game. I may buy dragon ball z soon

True, but the thing is those ports are often the definitive version of the game.... games like Hotline miami for example play and look (due to the sharpness of it being on a smaller screen + OLED) soooo much better on the vita.
Im not sure if people realize how good it is at just being a general media device too, for general web browsing, youtube and whatever else. I do wish it had a twitch app though.
I see it more as a luxery device really, i mean i could play most of my favourite stuff i have on it elsewhere... like say final fantasy 9 or a lot of the indie games, but those type of games wont as good on my tv or blown up on my pc monitor. I love being able to just lay in bed or wherever or be able to take these games to friends houses or on holiday and play them there too...
