Update 2:The War Zhas been removed from Steam's new release list. Valve has provided a statement regarding what's going on:

"From time to time a mistake can be made and one was made by prematurely issuing a copy of War Z for sale via Steam. We apologize for this and have temporary removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build. Those who purchased the game and wish to continue playing it via Steam may do so. Those who purchased the title via Steam and are unhappy with what they received may seek a refund bycreating a ticket at oursupport site here."

As of now, The War Zis still listed on Steam, but it can no longer be purchased. Since the "Foundation Release" of The War Z on December 17 it was the top selling game on Steam."

The devs lied about what would be in the game on the steam page for the game and they devs kept on telling the people who told them that they were lying that the peopple who purchased the game misread what was on the steam page for this game.

Buying games through Valve is almost like an insurance. I feel sorry for the people who bought the game directly from the War Z site. I get the feeling that those guys won't offer any refund, since they even threatened people who asked for refund with payment blacklists.GhoX

No refunds is part of the EULA/TOS. So yeah, those people are/were successfully screwed by this scam.

Good.. If even half the things I hear about the dev to this game is true, than they deserve to go under..

I love how in the Gamespy interview he's pretty much like: "what does up to 100 players mean really, like 99 other players plus me? To me, it doesn't!"

I mean, I think I get what he's hinting at, that up to 100 don't necessarily means always 100 but I don't see how this is an explanation as to why the servers were merely "up to 50".

And to think people were actually excited and hyped for this steaming pile of sh*t. Damn..

I got the refunded part which is great. But that is so wrong of the dev to do that to the consumer.
