The PS1's LEAST successful market for the first year or two was the U.S. and Virtua Fighter made developer for the PS1 popular, FFVII made the system popular in the States. Either way an American developer didn't do it.

The west has a lot to learn. Its shows with the Ford-like reliability in the 360.

As an ideal? No, I support it to the fullest.

As the current manifestation with the dual-party system, the generally uneducated sheep that make up the better part of the population, the corporate scumbags of every stripe controlling directly or indirectly the actions and opinions of the government and populace, the warmongers and religious interests holding back real progress because the magic bugaboo says its bad? jk? Why is it that people want their characters to be a annoying emo kids. Why does a millitary special forces officer in time of war have to get all giddy, or pound the wall and cry like a baby to satisfy people? Have you ever met a real special forces officer...they pretty much act just like shepard. Thats called realism.

i agree about the xbox part. but why do americans devs have to with realism in games. i look at mass effect and the character and i see no emotions in the characters faces.XboxOWns1

The West indeed never left, hell some of the most popular games were released by American/European developers, GTA, Starcraftetc.
