ive heard hermits saying that this game is going to be better than mass effect. of course i took it as fanboyism but now i can rub it in their faces a little bit. 4 critic reviews and they have a combined 7.9 rating right now as average and gamespot is the strict site.

mass effect lock for AAA maybe a rare AAAA while the wicher isnt even a lock for AA right now obviously.

Its a great game.

the witcher IS a lock for at least AA but who said the Witcher was better than Mass Effect because I should slap them... I am a hermit and don't even own a 360 and I would agree taht Mass Effect is better than The Witcher more than likely unless the Witcher is way better than everyone expected(Haven't played the Witcher but I hear it is great).... Anyway, I wish fanboys would get a life and recognize games as good when they look good... Like I recognize Gears(despite all its lag issues and bad balance....)and and Halo 3 as great games. I also recognize R&C:ToD as good games, and Uncharted as a potentially great game... Furthermore, Brawl looks amazing, so does Galaxy... Now if only everyone could recognize good games....(like Crysis and The Witcher)....

no hes just sayng that people cant tell which one its more intresting since no one has played both yet..

The Wicher seems to have 10 times the amount of depth of Mass Effect, and The Witcher is no doubt much more of an RPG than Mass Effect, which I'm also looking forward too, but it's a shooter with dialogue trees, and that's what I'm expecting.

The Witcher is getting stellar reviews across the board, and IGN just gave it an 8.5, while a ton of European reviews have scored it into the AAA territory or close. The only 10's Mass Effect will get will be from Xbox Magazines, nothing more.

it is just in gamespot for crtic reviews and it has averaged a 7.9 and overall crtic review is probably more accurate than any other single sites opinion because it is an average of almost all the gaming websites.

well anyway GS's review is most of the time lower than the combined average of the other sites or about the same anyway. but yea GS review is the only thing that matters on a GS message board.

..... you knwo teh official hype thread had more As and AAs than AAAs ... this was never hyped highly, just recognized as a solid decent game.

Uhh, hardly any publications have reviewed The Witcher. All of the reviews factored in the Gamespot critic average thus far are 8.x, save for one. And that doesn't even count all sources.

not according to IGN's review, or Shacknews's review. There seems to be a serious disconnect between you and what the reviewers have been saying. No where have I read that the controls are "horrendous", and since I've been playing it since it came in the mail today, it's a friggin awsome game all around.

Look, some fanatic hermit may have said that The Witcher will be better than ME, someone might have gone as far as saying it would score better. But the general concensus among hermits was and is that The Witcher will not outscore ME, it's being hyped as AA and not AAA. Lot of people guessed that it would get bashed for technical issues like pretty much every other cRPG in the past two decades, and this is exactly what seems to be happening based on IGN review. Personally I'm predicting 7.5 here, as I was about month ago already.

every post in here is a opinion, you cant create a trhead creating ownage sayng a game is inferior to a game that hasnt even been relesead yet, and you havent played either one of them, so you are only creating this thread as a flame bait, i dont flame specific plataforms, there are games that i look foward on every one of them, and iam not biased, iam looking foward mass effect? yes it seems like a great game, can i say its better then the witcher? no i cant, you can only guess, and on SW thats not enough
