The fact that its on course to outsell the PS2( the greatest console ever imo) makes me slightly sad for my hobby.

The Wii as you know is the best video game console in existence and currently no other console has been SOLD OUT at thousands of retail stores as quickly with the prolonged productivly as the Wii has. It would take a miracle for ANY new system and product to match the Wii's success. You can **** and moan about the graphical capabilities and family and unique oriented games but that's what sells. Nintendo was VERY smart to actually listen to lifetime gamers *as myself*who have strived for Nintendo to dominate the gaming industry again.

That's funny you mentioned that, because a lot of Wii owners probably never played a game before, and since it's so easy to pick up and play, these 'non-gamers', think it's the best thing since slicebread. I personally like my X360, and PS3 better.

Games wise, that's subjective, but on Gamespot it losses against the PS3 and 360 in As, AAs, AAAs and AAAAs.

I have a PC/PS3/360. Therein lies the problem. I played the few Wii games that appealed to me in the slightest, and was done with it. In terms of games, the Wii couldn't compare to those other 3 IMO.
