If the Wii had any power then the Devs would have found it by now, these are professionals.miss_kitt3nYes, proffessionals at making money meaning maximum profit for minimal effort.
You saying that Gears is only good game, cos its got pretty graphics? meh...Look at Tiger Woods PGA 07 for the Wii which comes out March. Don't bring up that dev's crap as an excuse
See sheep, graphics matter especially for Sport games.
Graphics matter period!!!
Imagine playing Gears of War with far cry graphics on the Wii it would be a mess and score no where near a 9.6

For those of you who havn't read the article yet...........
5. Resident Evil 4 was a beautiful GCN title. Rogue Squadron was doing things at launch that developers still haven't done on Wii. Why do you think that is? Are studios getting sloppy on Wii?
Julian: Yes. I'm so disappointed knowing exactly what the Wii can do -- and I still think nobody knows it better than we (no pun intended) [laughs]. I really have to say, boy, am I disappointed! They all have finally figured out, five years into the hardware's life cycle, how to do at least basic shaders and a rim light, but that's what everybody does. But I still don't see enough bump and normal-mapping, if any. I still don't see enough post effects, although you would have insane fill-rates with Wii. I don't see any of that. I was digging out Rebel Strike the other day and was looking at it, and we had some people who were visiting ask, "Why isn't anybody else doing this on Wii?" And I am at a loss. I really am.
wow you must be a dev, what games have you worked on...becuase you've obviously worked with the wii hardwareYou sheep always say the Dev's are being lazy, I want a link to where says that.
Not 1 Wii game has had better graphics than Halo CE which launched the day the Xbox came out. Why is this?
Splinter Cell DA had better graphics on the Xbox than it did on the Wii, and that systen came out in 01.
The Wii has the same architecture as the GC, so why wouldn't the Dev's know how to work with the Wii?
The Wii is a modified GC W/motion sensing capabilities.
SMG could easily be done on the 1st Xbox

Metroid Prime 3 looks better than Halo 2.VGobbsesser
I disagree and I am a SHEEP. I have also seen both in real life, unlike most people who are commenting, although it was an earlier build of Metroid but still.
Anyone who says Metroid on Wii looks better than Halo 2 on Xbox, based on currently existing media, is just being a fanboy or prefers the actual art style/look of Metroid.
IMO Halo 2 is showing of better graphics (bump mapping, dynamic lighting etc) than Metroid and in fact a better design/style too.
Although each to their own...
Yea, like there would exist a page in Wikipedia describing what a lazy dev is. Or could you imagine EA put up a statement on their site saying "We are very lazy devs, we don't make games on time and we hate to give our customers support. . . " Very likely to exist indeed. . .You sheep always say the Dev's are being lazy, I want a link to where says that,

I think the main point is that right now all we are really seeing on the Wii is either party style games, which by their very nature don't focus on pushing the graphics much, or PS2 games that have been adapted to work with the Wiimote. Most of the new games that are coming out for Wii are also coming to the PS2 and it is clear that developers have created the games with the PS2 as the target platform for specs and then just added Wiimote support.
I think eventually the Wii will show of graphics that look as good as the best Xbox games and maybe even a little better, once developers start making Wii exclusives that really take advantage of the machines unique capabilities and features including it's graphics capabilities, but for now most of the games on Wii do look rather pants.
I would personally say that a lot of the crap that we are seeing on Wii is indeed due to developers being too lazy to actually make games specfically for Wii that acutally take advantage of the Wii's full power and it's strenghs in terms of graphics...
