If you have registered your e-mail account on your Wii`s address book, you could just send yourself a e-mail and never open it. That will keep the lights on all the time. :) But then you wouldnt know when you got new messages :?Hardware wise, I agree. However, they need to add in more uses for the USB ports, and clean up the main menu with better features and less waiting screens (WiiConnect24 is there for a reason, News Channel)solidsnakeEx3You can delete the channels you dont want, and redownload them later. You can also press A-+B over the channels to move them wherever you want. Like having channels in one section, and VC games in another and so on. Hope that helps :)

Personally I love the lights, but I think its better to have it the way it is then have them blink all the time, so I know when I get messages. Now if we could get the option to have lights on constantly when it has a disk loaded, and when we got a message it would start to blink it would be perfect :) *Crosses fingers for future update*Nintendo has more than redeemed itself for the purple lunchbox.TNT_SlugI kinda liked the GC looked, but the black one was obviously much better. But what I liked was the smalll space it took, and the durabilety of it. In dark days I wonder if the GC had done better if they had gone with the black one, or the godly platinum one as their primary color :(

The GC looked like a toy, but it still bested the fugly PS2 and the fugliest console of all time (XBox, obviously). Not that any of the consoles were bad (after all, XBox was the most powerful and had a few great exclusives), just fugly.

I think it hurt the sales at least to some degree.

I always wondered why they couldnt make it flat on the top so you could use it to stack a DVD-player or similar on top. Then I would have liked it much more.
I actually really liked GC's design, though the controller does look wonky (Although it's still a pretty good controller)solidsnakeEx3Me too, I think its very comfortable, and all the buttons are easy to reach from the main A button :) But I do understand people who has trouble with the colours, they look a bit toy`sh with the multiple unmatching colors, but from myu experience they were also much more durable from PS2 and X-box controllers.
The Wii is a modern piece of art that is really elegeant. From how small it is (even if it's only gamecbue 1.5 thats still amazing) from how smoothly the disk drive takes and ejects the dvd's. Its super quiete and you almost never hear it load. Even the minmal noise from occasional disk spin is only a moment. It never overheats and sits leaning on it's stand looking proud. SonyHater
Piece of art ??? It si by far the worst design in ANY machine i have set eyes on, the blue light saves it a bit, other than that even xbox 1 was prettier than this thing

I would suspect you do not like the ipod-ish look to it. That's fine really I've got no problem with it but I'm curious as to why you don't like its design.Maybe it's just mine but, I don't find the Wii all that quiet.
Everytime you go back to the main Wii menu and there's a disk in it, it makes this horrible sound that doesn't seem healthy for the diskDireToad
I had that problem, then I realised it was due to vibrations caused by placing my Wii on hard surface. My desk is slightly bowed with the weight of the TV and so this naturally causes vibratons to be amplified/

lol, Crisys Core on the PSP looks better than any game on the Wii, the hardware is so weak that instead of last 5-6 years (life cicle of a console) it will be lucky if it last 3 years, 4 its a miracle.
and whats up with your nick, SonyHater? lol.. chill dude, have a look:

I found the main menu to be wonderful, it is quite satisfying to see the boxes fill up with VC games and Channels over time. However the aesthetics are overuled by practicality and functionality at which the Wii excels. I found the 360 menu to be quite off-putting in its complexity.

Nintendo also put a great deal of effort into the interface, its is so fluid and accessible with a clean and aesthetically pleasing design to match the console. The music and sound effects on the menus and channels are so subtle and airy too.

I agree. My friend and 360 owner hated it, and I was originally skeptical, but once I started downloading stuff, I realized how easy it was to use. Excellently designed interface.

Unless, ofcourse, you meant that while the wii was off the light stayed on...
