What I was saying is to prove a point to the TC that Gamespot =/= fact. I own Mass Effect and can safely say that it is far beyond the production quality of both Zack&Wiki and Metroid Prime 3. Though I think Metroid Prime 3 is every bit as good as Mass Effect (imo), both games deserved better scores here. Yes, its ironic that they will be remembered as 8.5 flops... isn't it.

well, not to undermine your argument (as it is a valid one), but i'm sure to some people that Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Ratchet and Clank, Folklore, and Uncharted are worth 400 dollars when you already have a PS2. Is the PS3 the best console? No. But the amount of new (and relatively good) IP's on the system is impressive (though the 360 has more).

wii does and will have the worst gaming library at the end. But that's to be expected since it doesn't get multiplats. It's okay though b/c people bought a wii for nintendo franchises. Nintendo has never gotten most multiplats, and this gen will be the same. But that's fine.manningbowl135

I dunno if you can prove that, but I can see the logic for your educated guess. I'm pretty sure the Wii's third party support for actual quality titles are gonna pick up significantly after the Wii sells 20 million units by march and developers are forced to take it more seriously, but we can already see the increase in third party nonshovel titles from the '08 lineup.

the 360 is obviously in the lead as it has had a year to gain momentum. If you were to compare only first years, it is amazing how close each console really is. This year is a testing ground for both the Wii and the PS3. Next year is when the War officially begins.

I hope each console finds its own niche in the gaming community so that when I finally own all 3, each will have stellar games all to themselves.

well, I have already given my point of view by listing several quality titles and proving that Gamespot =/= fact, as well as saying his opinion on who gets owned or not is laughable. But the PS3 isn't doing as bad as everyone is saying it is. Sure, its in last place, don't get me wrong, but history tells us that public opinion can change FAST.

Not to mention that the PS3 is now outselling the Wii in Japan for some unknown reason. :\

If anything, I hope to be an example to this poor fellow. :P

Sure, I agree that on gamespot, the Wii has less overall titles that are 9.0 or above. That's a fact.

However, everything else in your post is pointless.

Here are some facts for you to mull over. See if you can prove me wrong:

The Wii is owning the PS3 in sales worldwide, very easily.

The Wii has a few AAAE games. The PS3 does not.

The PS3 is the laughing stock of the internet community and considered by general concensus to be a failure.

Most PS3 multiplat AAA titles run better on 360 and PC.

The PS3 has terrible online support.

The PS3's cheaper model is still very expensive, and has nothing over the 360.

Blu-ray is a feature included in the system for the soul purpose of marketing the Blu-ray medium.

The PS3 is harder to develop for and has by far the least number of games out for any system.

The PS3 didn't launch with the rumble feature. Sony is trying to fix that, but most games since launch dont' support it.

PS3 is losing third party support while other systems are gaining it.

The PS3 has lost many exclusive titles to 360 and the PC due to poor performance.

The Wii is much cheaper than the PS3, comes with a free game, and usually outsells it according to NPD about 4 or 5 to 1 in america.

The Wii has sold more consoles than the 360 in half the time.

The Wii will have more games on the market than the 360 in just over half the time.

The Wii has the most third party support, and momentum is just starting to build.

All the shovelware companies are putting their money on the Wii.

All analyists are putting their money on the Wii.

The Wii is backwards compatible too the gamecube, Sony removed that feature, because who wants to play PS2 games when they have a PS3?

Sony's gaming devision is in the red.

Nintendo is one of the most sucessful companies of all time, thanks to the Wii and the DS.

Nintendo has by far the most exclusive games available for release in '08, and has the most anticipated game for release in february, which is SSB:B, according to all polls.

The userbase for Nintendo is by far the largest. Developers determine who they will develop for by who the userbases size. The PS3 has the smallest userbase.

Sony went from having the hottest brand in the console market, to being the laughing stock of its fanbase.
