The Wii is a terrible system. 9 year old hardware and a imprecise gimmicky controller really hold it back. Don't forget that a good game only comes along once every 6 months and they're usually childish anyway. Sheep defend the Wii but Nintendo doesn't even care for them anymore and they can't see it. The success of the Wii has also had a negative impact on the industry with Natal being made ahead of an xbox handheld and Sony cancelling the Getaway and Eight days for some casual games to be made.

The Wii at our house is barely used. It was fun for a few hours, and so was brawl, but many of the games just don' appeal to me

Wii is a great system, its version of Resident Evil 4 is the best.

So just cause a game is "childish" are you saying it's bad? Or not hardcore or something? Cause pretty much ALL those games you listed as childish are good games and not something particularly aimed at casuals (except maybe Pikmen, but that game is still pretty hardcore). De Blob is a great game, and the other ones I haven't played but have received praise from reviewers.

Deadly Creatures, childish? WHAT? The kills in that game are gruesome.

Almost ALL the reviews of agreed that RE4: Wii Edition's controls trumped the controls on PS2 and GC version. At its core, controller preference is opinion, but your opinion is in the minority.

And I don't think Trauma Center is shovelware...
