I love my Wii, but I love it as a secondary platform. But I can also see why people would use it as their primary platform, same goes for any of the other systems really.

I would say most disappointing in terms of what we expected and what we got. I mean before it came out the hype was unbelievable.. We thought it would revolutionize everything.. Fast forward to now no one likes motion controls in stuff other than casual party game stuff. It did deliver good games but because of what its best software offered it almost defeated the point of the console because none of them really even used motion controls.

Easily the worst console I've purchased in my lifetime. Not joking I've literally almost killed it by not playing it. It takes like 3 tries to get the damn thing to work when I turn it on and it restarts constantly then after a few times playing it, it goes back to normal working perfectly. This only happens when I don't play it for 4-5 months at a time, which happens pretty much every 4-5 months. If it wasn't for Skyward Sword I would have gotten rid of it years ago.

Easily the worst console I've purchased in my lifetime. Not joking I've literally almost killed it by not playing it. It takes like 3 tries to get the damn thing to work when I turn it on and it restarts constantly then after a few times playing it, it goes back to normal working perfectly. This only happens when I don't play it for 4-5 months at a time, which happens pretty much every 4-5 months. If it wasn't for Skyward Sword I would have gotten rid of it years ago.

I pretty sure it is, but there's no way in hell I'm buying another, besides I'm sure it has to do with dust because once I replay it after a drought its pretty much covered in it, but I'm not sure. I just pray it lives for Skyward Sword.

The Wii has really surprised me as of late.

The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces reminded me of how much I love the Ace Combat series and Phantom Brave: We meet Again is an amazing Tatic Game.

To me the Wii is no where near terrible, I have about 31 Wii games with about 25 Good Titles (the rest are party games and some shovelware that my sister owns. Also this is an estimate.)

Well Twilight Princess, Okami, and Resident Evil 4 are all remakes of games from last gen. Gamespot doesn't even review remakes/remasters for the PS3/360 so I don't even know why those were reviewed to begin with.

Donkey Kong is pretty good though as well as Kirby's Epic Yarn (although the no way of failing thing got kind of boring and unrewarding). Monster Hunter 3 looks okay but all the other games don't catch my interests.

its definitely the worst console of the past 2 gens. the ps2, xbox, gamecube, ps3, and xbox 360 are and were all better than the wii. heck, it might be the worst nintendo console of all time not counting the virtual boy which i dont even consider a console.

Its kind of bad that of the Wii's total of 9 AAA (from GS), that 2 of them are just ports from last gen, whereas AAA games from last gen that get ported and upgraded like the God of War Collection don't even get a proper review from GS.

Plus it just sounds odd saying "My favorite Wii games are ports of games from last gen"

Well, as somebody else said, Twilight Princess came out on the Wii before it came out on the Gamecube.

If those ports were just there by themselves, that'd be one thing, but even just counting the exclusives, there's plenty of Wii games that aren't trash.

The DC wouldn't be suported by its dedicated community, to this day, if it sucked. Games are still being released for it in 2011.I bought a DC like 2 months ago, have ben steadily making a game base for it, currently having 17 games, and i love it a lot. It's basically perfect.

Seriously the Wii isn't anywhere near the worst. If it was the worst it would have ended up being like the virtual boy.

First off let's talk games.

• The majority of new IPs on the Wii have been pretty lackluster (even from nintendo) and there's an over dependency (once again) on Mario and other older IPs.
• The wii lacks 3rd party support on a next level than even the GC and 64. Just look at all the amazing titles the Wii is missing.
• Most of the time at best the wii has 3 worthwhile games a year, I mean, does anyone even own 40 Wii games? I can't think of 40 games I'd get on the Wii if I got a new one today, infact this year I can only think of two games that look worthwhile however this year alone I can easily think of 15 games I would get on the other platforms.

Let's talk hardware now.

• The wii is overpriced, it's a slightly more powerful gamecube but yet it's close to the cost of an xbox arcade.
• Motion controls aren't for everyone and the lack of classic controller compatibility in most games is quite surprising to say the least. This basically alienates people who want to play nintendo games waggle free.
• As mentioned earlier the Wii's hardware is only slightly better than the game cube's this results in a lack of multiplats, and some very last gen looking games. While graphics aren't everything they are certainly appealing and many gamers today would like a certain level of visuals.
• Lastly the wii lacks the functionality of that is present in the other consoles. Though it recently got netflix so I'll give it that.

Anyone agree? I really regret purchasing a wii this gen, and if I could go back I'd easily just purchase another 360. It may not be the worst console ever but it's a strong contender for it.
