I envy your patience. I will however not back down and run off to buy another laucnh day console ever again. I bet a system will be out at least two years before I buy it from here on out.

And... I live in Dever Co., point me towards a game store with a great selection of used games and I am all ears. Gamestop pushed out all the competition in my area and the used selections are getting pretty bad.

My best gaming deal recently was picking up Jade Empire ( Iwas way to harsh on that game when it first came out) for 7 dollars.

I dont know. I just have a knack for wringing out every bit of gameplay I can from a game. For at least six months, Pokemon Crystal didnt leave my GBA at all. Not to mention I have a great tolerance for grinding in RPG's.

I live in Baltimore and the Gamespot I frequent tends to put there their best games out in front. Just yesterday, I saw two used copies of Marvel vs Capcom 2. I didnt buy it (bloody thing cost 80 bucks), but still, it's there if I want it. Most of the shovelware is stuffed into regions of the store no one will ever bother to look in.

I tend to buy most of my games at bargain prices. I got the Final Fantasy XII Collectors Edition for $32 when it woulda cost me $60 at the game's launch. A little patience goes a long way, I suppose.

I really do not mind that anymore. I just mind the zealous fans of it.

Disney makes great movies for kids that an adult can enjoy, so adults and kids can enjoy them together. Mario and Zelda are still really high quality games. Nintendo is to gaming as Disney is to film imo.

But exalting games for their game-play alone annoys me.

1)Some of my favorite games of all time were awesome because of story or setting, even though the game-play was flawed.

2)Flawed game-play often comes from taking risks. Ya it was flawed but in its failures there was a success.

Topping my list of flawed but still masterpieces?

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (PC)

Shenmue (Dreramcast)Both had some severe game play flaws. Shenmue was just to ambitious for its time. The kind of ambition Nintendo can not even fantazise about. But they payed the price. Does Yu Suzuki even make games anymore? and the series third and final installment will go on without ever being made.
