It's got Kirby Wii, Rhythm Heaven and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword as it's big releases. Also, Dragon Quest X is also slated for Wii as of now. It might move to Wii U, but it's better to release it on a platform with an already established install base than one with a limited install base.

I'm personally looking forward to Skyward Sword and Dragon Quest X whenever it hits.

i dont think they ever talked about moving DQ10 to WiiU, but releaseing it on both consoles

I'm not sure what relevance 360 has to the demise of the Wii. But to answer your question: while the 360 is lacking a large selection of exclusives, those are two massive exclusives, and it still will enjoy dozens of worthwhile 3rd party games this year. The 360 will still be going strong through 2011 and probably into 2012 as well. Conversely the Wii has practically nothing worthwhile this year, and basically people are counting on Zelda being the "last Hurrah" in 2012. If they don't get Zelda done soon they might as well just upgrade it and release it on Wii-U. I personally am beyond even anticipating Zelda anymore considering how dated it's surely to feel by the time it comes out. I didn't much care for Wii in 2010 either regardless of what other people may have thought of it, which is why I've barely taken it out of it's box for going on 3 years now (I probably averaged about 10 hours every six months).

As to what I "expect" out of Nintendo, not much. I just expect them to continue what they've been doing, lazily cash in on retro games and franchises that cost nothing to make - but make them alot of money ($49.99 for a 6 hour long retro 2D sidescroller???). I expect them to continually ignore real gamers, and people that want certain games localized from Japan. Oh, and while they're at it I expect them to continue to have absolutely no quality assurance standards for 3rd parties. Afterall, if there's anything Nintendo consoles need, it's MOAR SHOVELWAREZ!!! I've entirely stopped caring for what is released on Wii, so I would likely have no interest even if there were a Star Fox or F-Zero game in 2011 or 2012. But that ain't happening anyway...

I checked Metacritic and looked at the 75+ rated games (green) for the Wii this year -

• 85 - Tiger Woods
• 81 - Bit Trip Flux
• 81 - You Don't Know Jack
• 79 - de Blob 2
• 76 - Lego Star Wars

All of those games released in Feb or March. So it's been about 5 months since a great or very good game has hit the platform in NA. This is downright abysmal. Wii-U releasing next year is a poor excuse to use. Even the PSP has had more quality offerings this year and it's older , sold less than Wii , and the Vita is coming out early next year.

If anything is dead this year it's the Xbox 360.

Its been dead to me, SMG 1 and 2 are the only games that make the wii not total trash. They were both exellent, everything else could have never been released and it wouldnt have been a loss to anyone. Nintendo is a joke these days.

It has MW3....so basically yeah. Any big dev already jumped ship to support Wii-U for multiplats. It has Skyward Sword this year so that's the only thing keeping it from not being "dead," just like all 360 has this year is Gears 3.

Sheep are funny. Last year and every other year since Wii launched (except maybe 2007) when they get poor library compared to the other two, the excuse is "gameplay>graphics" even though they were both superior on ps360. This years excuse is WiiU release lmao. So you accept a joke of a year for a console that will be released in a year+? Thw Wii was not the first system to come out. That is lunacy my man. Also it's dying just asmuch by choice by Nintendo. They have chosen to slow and then stop support after Skyward Sword (a goty hopeful so make no mistake about it) in order to bring out a brand new next-gen console. So you're attempt to make the Wii sound like a failure (a laughable thought and an even more laughable attempt) is invalid and irrelevant due to a little thing called "facts".

i second that. i hated the wii always made fun of it and its games. early this year i got the wii and i thought it was amazing i now know y it sold this much. the wii games unlike other consoles are made for pure fun.

I asked who are you to decide what deserves to sell. You said that you were a consumer which implies that the consumer decides what deserves to sell.

NOW then, if 70 million consumers decide the Wii deserves to sell then it deserves to sell using your logic.
