Ok then why did you take them out, it doesn't matter if they are last gen games they are being relaeased for a new system, and some games get updates.

And the gc re4 isnt better than the wii version, jsut because a game scored higher doesn't mean its better as shown by gears pc being scored lower but being a better game.

That's a shame because exclusives are WHAT DEFINES A CONSOLE. you'd have to be a complete moron (no offence) to buy a console at a premium price to play worse versions of games availible on another console.

There's also DIRT, but that's just 2 games. when huge titles like Orange Box, Madden, Assasins Creed, VF5 and Virtua Tennis are better on the 360 (a cheaper console) you really do have to have serious problems to pay more for the PS3 to play inferior versions of said games

OB isn't out yet for ps3, both ps3 and 360 have issues with AC, Madden: true, Idon't see the difference between the 2 versions except for the online (which as i hear the ps3 got and online patch atthe ps-store), Virtua tennis: true.

Scores wise (given they were on different consoles) but in both of those cases Gamespot said the Wii version was the definitive one. try again

I might agree on RE4 since all versions weren't released at the same time and the lower score was a result of "aging",but both versions of tp were released at the same time so if the Wii version is superior why didn't it get the higher score:|

you know when a console win a generation when this console get almost all 3rd party support. last gen the ps2 was easily identify by everyone has the winner and i will say for now the 360 have a good lead and sony new pricetag and agressive advertising now are going in the good direction and the wii lots of shovelware and remake from the las generation poor 3rd party support and nintendo ip selling well ...wii succes in hardware sale is similar to ds succes but the non nintendo game with high quality production are not there so my theory is nintendo console are bought by parents and use as cheap babysiter.

It's funny how everyone calls the Wii a fad when it obviously isn't. One just has to look at the sales, like you said. What everybody seems to disregard, however, is that the PS3 is the biggest and only fad among the consoles.

Yeah, the Wii and Nintendo have once again changed the industry and has influenced the upcoming consoles, but I think after this gen they will be catch-up like they were in the past 2 gens. Microsoft and Sony are obviously going to rip the control scheme of the Wii one way or another in the future, and unless Nintendo takes another big step to add a new way to play, they are going to be playing catchup up to the other two from what I see. Cheap prices and generally untapped potential of control schemes (Mario and a few others have accomplished this)can only keep the consumers interested for so long. D00nut

What are you talking about? Sony already did that with the PS3 and the gimmick known as the Sixaxis.

Looking into this I see the industry evolve in the following.

The Atari/Arcade Age - This focused more so on gaming being pick-up and play

The Nintendo Age - This is when gaming was seen more so as a toy then anything else. As time went on however games like Street Fighter II and Doom brought gaming to be taken by a more mature audience.

The Modernization Age - When SONY took things up, gamings target audience greatly matured, not only that but games tended to get bigger, more serious, etc. Games were thought to take place of movies to be some super interactive medium. We saw this with games like Final Fantasy VII, Syphon Filter, Metal Gear Solid, etc. Not only this but games started to combine genres to get that "action-adventure" apporch. Instead of being a linear level designed beat-em-up, Devil May Cry had some sort of mini-Zelda Exploration aspect to it, this goes along with many games as well.

The Western Age - It's no secret that gaming now is more Western then ever before. Shooters take the crown of popularity as well as sports games and such. I'd normally rename it something else but, but the Japanese developers are more or less hardly doing anything now or if are have a long ways to go in development. Those that do have games lined up they are more then so geared towards the Western market due to Japanese core gaming being so small as of current.

Looking at what's happening and observing this is what I can guess the Wii will do.

The Uplifting/Concept Age - Let's face it casual gamers have found their system. Nintendo observed the popularity of Solitaire and online Sudoku and it payed up huge. Because of this gaming is going to be bigger then ever before. But where does that leave the gaming enthuiast? Looking at the games that are currently being looked forward to amongst the DS and Wii, it seems more so that concept is King. When people talk about Fragile, No More Heroes, King's Story, and others they don't talk about the cutting edge tech. such as physics, graphics, or online capablities, nor do they talk about the depth of gameplay or skill in it. When people talk about these games they usually talk about the concept of the game as a whole and how fun it looks to play it. I see this more so like music or books where people choose which they prefer entirely on taste and what sounds more interesting.

I have a Wii, enjoyed a couple games (Metroid, Mario) and obviously Wii Sports is a winner with groups HOWEVER with that being said, it's played the least out of all three systems for me. While I am happy that it will have an impact on price next time around for the other systems, I am not happy about the horrible visual's that the Wii has. Because of the success of the console with such horrible visuals, I have to wonder if next gen for sony and microsoft will be impacted. Give me a system with the wii mote technology and the visuals of sony and microsoft, THATS the winner.

It brought many things to the console market including voice recognition (including karaoke), and one of the biggest factors in this and last gens consoles, Internet Play!
